I hope to stay at Educe until I retire
Apr 16, 2022 - Associate in Bethesda, MDRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The work-life balance of true 40-hour work weeks, twice-a-year company-wide meetings in awesome locations like Vail, Scottsdale, Miami, Austin, and Nashville, fully covered health care benefits, and yearly lump sum cash bonuses make Educe a dream to work for AND I get to work with the smartest, most talented and ambitious individuals I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I absolutely adore this company and hope to stay for my entire career.
Cons
My only con is that our PTO increases after your third year with the company but then does not increase any more after that point. It would be awesome if it continued to increase as you gain tenure.

Pros
The people and leadership at Educe are incredible. I have never felt this supported and at the same time challenged to do my best work. The collaborative and learning culture provides an environment where people can meet their potentials.
Cons
This is not a downside, but more of a heads up to those looking to apply. People that thrive at Educe are self-starters, independent and very proactive. No one is truly above doing anything outside of their job description and everyone goes above and beyond to help each other out, even if they are busy.
Thank you for this insightful review and your encouraging words. I’m really glad to hear that your experience with people and leadership and the environment here at Educe has been very positive! Providing an environment where employees feel they’re valued, supported, and respected is a top priority. I also wanted to express appreciation for your advice for future applicants. I agree with your perspective that people who embrace challenges, enjoy learning and asking questions, and can work independently will truly thrive at Educe.

Great place to work!
Apr 17, 2020 - Senior Consultant in Bethesda, MDRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
- Super supportive: Everyone wants you to succeed. Colleagues go out of their way to help and check in. Educe also sets everyone up with a mentor, and the managers truly advocate for you. - The work itself: I find helping clients implement their learning management systems to be very rewarding. Clients are generally very appreciative. You get a chance to work with a variety of people. Each client uses the system very differently, so there are endless opportunities for creative problem-solving. The work is collaborative, but does not feel like a school group project. - The environment: On top of the supportive nature, Educe works hard to make sure we also have fun at work. From virtual happy hours to our twice yearly retreats, Educe makes sure we have a variety of enriching and fun activities. Examples include axe throwing, Top Golf, bowling, escape rooms. - Transparency: I've never worked for a company that was so open and honest about how the business is operating. I always understand every decision they make because they do a thorough job making sure everyone is in the know and on the same page - Trust: They hire great people, and they trust them. When I was first hired, even though I was brand new, I got pulled into a few internal initiatives where they valued my opinion and took my ideas to heart.
Cons
They are working on adding in more diversity, but it is still a work in progress. They are also adding in new initiatives to bridge the employees who work in Bethesda together with those who work remotely. I think as these programs continue to grow, remote employees will feel more included.

Pros
Picture all the best people from your previous companies, all under the same roof - that's genuinely how it feels. Every person you meet is just as dynamic, creative and intelligent as the last. People work hard and they not only care about their success, but the success of the company. It was a bit overwhelming (in a good way) to initially integrate into an environment like this, where there are so many resources available and so many people who genuinely want you to succeed. The leadership recognizes that not every day will be a smooth one, but ensures that you will feel valued and appreciated for all of those moments where you are dealing with challenging situations. They are always looking for ways to be better and it's inspiring to see. I appreciate the work-life balance and it feels like the company recognizes that the employees are real-life-people (which sounds silly but is a total anomaly in my opinion). It has been a great and rewarding decision to work with Educe.
Cons
I haven't personally come across any cons to working here - however, I will say that this is not the job for you if you lack initiative and self-motivation. The work is challenging and can be plentiful at times. Educe does a great job at hiring the right people who thrive in this type of culture.

The Educe Group empowers employees to take control of their own career
Aug 2, 2017 - Anonymous Employee in Bethesda, MDRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Educe allows employees (from recent grads/new hires to experienced consultants) to operate in an environment where they can make their own decisions with the support of those who have "been there/done that". The company understands that it's more important to support someone who is making their way through complex projects with an infrastructure of experienced colleagues and allow them to (possibly) make mistakes from which they'll learn than it is to micromanage the activities of their employees to ensure none are ever made. Furthermore, they hire for individuals who will take more personal and professional responsibility for their projects and interactions than could ever be trained, so the caliber of consultant that emerges is the highest possible.
Cons
If you're looking for a large company, you will not find it at Educe - this small business supports teams in some of the world's largest and most complex organizations - but it isn't one itself. It's a close knit group of intelligent/driven folks who would rather meet up twice a year and learn from/help one another and catch up than move up to the next rung on the ladder to partner.

A lot of work, time and energy, but the reward is just as sweet.
Feb 22, 2016 - Engagement ManagerRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Educe is an incredible company, and a true leader in its industry. Educe provides the type of environment that prompts autonomy, leadership and continued development. As a newer employee (less than one year) I enjoy the fast pace, high energy community that Educe offers. If you are a person who is always asking “why”, and enjoy digging deeper into questions, processes and are always looking for ways to improve in your profession and increase your client’s experience, you’ll fit right in at Educe. This company is not for the faint of heart, it’s a lot of work, time and energy, but the reward is just as sweet. The family like culture provides strong relationships between co-workers and allows us all to achieve more.
Cons
If you are someone who needs a lot of direction, or needs the structure of a formal work environment Educe is not for you, individuals need to be self-motivated. As a remote employee, I don’t get a lot of face-to-face interaction with my fellow co-workers, which can be a downside when you need a quick brain storming session. However, we have a great online communication platform to easy that challenge.
