I worked at Edward Jones full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There is a very good home and work balance. (I do not have 20 words that are pros for Edjones)

    Cons

You have to rely on the financial advisor to ever receive a raise or bonus. It's typically just you and the FA; often times just you for long stretches of time (weeks)

    Advice to Management

Pay your assistance more! Praise is no where NEAR enough

I have been working at Edward Jones full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits. Depends on FA's level and personality. The higher the level the higher the bonus. If level 1 to 5 it is not sustainable.

    Cons

Salary for the responsibility and amount of work is unethical. Cannot advance because of my age. I was told EJ would not pay for exams to advance.

    Advice to Management

Remember. You would not be where you are today without your BOA. Bonuses for 75% of us are so low, many have to work a second job.

I have been working at Edward Jones full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great company. They take great care of their employees with pay/commission/bonuses/benefits/401k/profit sharing. I love building relationships with our clients and helping them reach their financial goals.

    Cons

The financial industry isn't my passion. It's an ever changing market, and something you really need to have a great interest in or it gets extremely overwhelming at times.

I worked at Edward Jones full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good health benefits, great home office support.

    Cons

In a 2 person office, you could be paired with an FA who has a different work style than you.

    Advice to Management

Screen FA's as you do BOA's

    Pros

Treated very well by FA. Wonderful atmosphere and excellent benefits.

    Cons

I did not have any cons.

    Advice to Management

I think you are doing well. I have not been an employee since 2010, but that option was not available so I'm certain that your protocols have changed since that time.

I have been working at Edward Jones full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great company to work for. I've been with the company for 8months and I cant believe how the company does an awesome job with recognition. The company makes you feel appreciated for all the hard work that you do.

    Cons

Somtimes it gets boring for me working by myself, at times when something new comes out the training they have available is a webex or reading up on the process. I dont like to read all that much so its partially my fault, lol.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great work, everyone is so nice and incredibly helpful each time I call for help.

I have been working at Edward Jones full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Flexible, laid back, and understanding of personal issues. Supportive of fellow staff and training.

    Cons

No challenges, not enough work, always bored, no room for advancement, my financial advisor does not bring in a business. I have absolutely no social interaction all day everyday.

    Advice to Management

Make it a requirement to keep the BOA's busy.

    Pros

Lots of schedule flexibility and low stress levels if you work for a nice FA.

    Cons

Absolutely no advancement potential and raises are very small. Not great for a single income household. I have to work a couple of other jobs to make ends meet.

    Advice to Management

Allow BOA'a to complete a trajectory and move up.
