    I worked at Edwards Lifesciences full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

    Mostly good people & work environment. GREAT products for a good cause w/wonderful benefits & fairly good career path (if they like you).

    Cons

    Every man for himself mentality. CEO & another EVP are skirt-chasers and everyone knows it, but does nothing about it. Past EVP's have gotten away with large expense accounts for "commuting" when they are supposed to be living in CA, but their family is living elsewhere. Wasted money that could have gone into much needed R&D, or the employees salaries. Bonus criteria needs to be changed and not benefit all of upper senior management.

    Advice to Management

    The execs make way too much money while the worker bees do all the work. The egomaniac CEO needs to retire with his overpaid millions!

    I worked at Edwards Lifesciences full-time

    Pros

    Good work space, cafeteria, and outside landscape.

    Cons

    Lots of back and forth on what to do about anything and how to accomplish it. Doesn't communicate appropriately, with a realistic agenda. People lose confidence.

    Advice to Management

    Evaluate management with great detail on all levels. Floundering doesn't hold value and doesn't get the job done.

    I worked at Edwards Lifesciences part-time

    Pros

    great business grow potential;
    very talented people;
    great campus with onsite subsidized cafeteria and gym(very small but you can use it);

    Cons

    people are arrogant and obsessed with clinical/engineer background, could show more respect to business experts;
    could improve cultural diversity --- running a global business requires more open international perspective and less bias with the markets outside the U.S.
