    I worked at Efficio part-time

    Pros

Very good company to work for. Steep learning curve, but given a lot of responsibility out of the gate. Very good training and support system.

    Cons

Long working hours, although this should be expected for a consulting company.

I have been working at Efficio full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The CEO is fantastic, very down to earth and approachable. Is involved in nearly every single final round interview so meets every new joiner in the process. This was very important to me when deciding where to join.

Projects are vast and varied. Loads of travel and client interaction from day one.

Lots of autonomy and responsibility, more than I have ever experienced in other consulting firms.

Ideas and change are appreciated and encourged.

Very social firm with lots of activities arranged (including one Friday afternoon each month!).

Bonus and potential promotions twice a year.

Incredibly international with a wonderful mix of languages and nationalities.

    Cons

There really isn't anything about Efficio that I dont enjoy

    Advice to Management

With the rapid growth of the firm, ensure we keep the culture.

Continue to recognise and reward talent and hard work. The Employee Recognition awards at the Summer Party were a great motivating tool.

    - Rapidly growing business year-on-year, still keeping People number one on it's priority list
    - Good work/life balance for a management consultancy

    Cons

    - Small company issues; infrastructure, processes and systems are a little behind the curve
    - Needs to fully define it's values
    - Needs to strengthen brand identity

    Advice to Management

Maintain the culture as we grow, keep focusing on People as your greatest resource.

I have been working at Efficio full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Projects are largely interesting and impactful, so are clients. Even for those that get bored by constant RFP processes and change management insights into client companies are a great learning experience and so is the Efficio project management approach.

Perks and salary are quite competitive.

    Cons

Company has a very thorough personality focused hiring approach. In the strong growing phases we've had this has led to a loss of the family feel. If you're not part of the cliques you're an outsider, no professionalism on that basis.

The expansion has led to the family becoming a clique culture, sometimes quite toxic, especially in some other offices. The expansion has also brought in a quite a few superficially nice people who are not up to par skill-wise or who are actually very conceited without achieving or being able to work autonomously.

    Advice to Management

Re-consider current hiring approach. Constant stream of referrals, especially from juniors, isn't maintaining the quality of our firm. More focus on quality over supposed personality.

I have been working at Efficio full-time

    Pros

17 years of continuous growth creates a very compelling workplace which is growing fast while managing to keep its entrepreneurial culture
Constant sharing between "old" and "new" employees
Very social with company-wide events every month

    Cons

The usual cons of consulting : travelling most weeks, quality of management varies between individuals, some projects add limited value etc...

    Advice to Management

Create more synergies between teams (between projects and between consultant and support staff)
Involve more the staff in strategic decisions through working groups (new product / service offerings, improvements in back office processes etc...)

I have been working at Efficio full-time

    Pros

-Places an importance on hiring people with good personalities so colleagues are lots of fun and social events are good!
-Approachable leadership team, far less of a hierarchy as with many companies
-You are always busy, but projects tend to differ and so often the days do not feel long
-Managers give you decision making positions from the start

    Cons

-Lack of a formal training programe at start
-Reluctance to invest money on sending employees on courses

    Advice to Management

Don't let the rapid growth of the company change the community feel - it's what makes this company great.
