    Pros

Excellent environment to work and great opportunity to improve your network. I am quite new to the company but I can see that there is significant number of departments to work for, which is a chance to enhance your career opportunities and development.

    Cons

For the moment I am not in position to find any negative aspects for the company

    Pros

Great, forward thinking company. I'm a veteran in the industry and it's fascinating to see the innovations and the speed to execution within Egencia and Expedia as a whole. The onboarding experience was great. Also the peer and management support is excellent.

    Cons

Global consistency (especially around internal process and support) could be improved. It's a bit fragmented at the moment. This is a bit of a challenge to navigate as a new hire, but perhaps will get easier with time.

    Advice to Management

More structure around the internal support processes would be beneficial. Otherwise in all other areas, you've exceeded my expectations.

    Pros

    Nice fancy equipment computers screens

    Cons

Emphasis on ONLINE technology makes me think I am a Microsoft Employee. Customers are caught up with using technology red tape-and not their travel plans...Depend on systems In Degrade " Code red status 4/5 days per week with angry customers frustrated.

    Advice to Management

Fix the system and axe Citrix

I have been working at Egencia full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Good Heath insurance
$600 gym reimbursement program per year
    Technology is getting better
    Some hotel discounts
$500 annual travel reimbursement based on tenure (taxable)
Work from home program if you don't mind doing same thing forever

    Cons

Vacation and sick time hours in the same pool
Little to no advancement for virtual employees
Must relocate to the Seattle area to advance
No performance bonus or profit sharing plan
    Wages below average
You get a warning or write up and point deduction if you call in sick or running late without a 24 hour notice
    Management helps management

    Advice to Management

Executives are making million dollar bonuses and hourly gets zero. Give the same benefit package and bonus and profit sharing opportunities to all your staff. Other companies are out poaching more than ever for experienced workers. Listen and respond to your employees when they email you with suggestions or ideas! Currently they just ignore it all together! Your front line agents could make this company more profitable if you would just listen to us! and give us a piece of the pie, instead of keeping it all for yourselves.

Terrible company. Managers and teams leads have a lack of people management. If you like to work like a robot, this is the place for you.

    Advice to Management

hire team-leads and managers who actually posses people skills.

I worked at Egencia full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They seemed to be a tech centric company which can be a good thing.

    Cons

Many staff talk negatively about their customers/clients openly in front of other team members. Company seemed to struggle with their technology as it is unstable and has many issues. Office space design is the open style with no personal workspace and walls. Too many distractions affecting overall productivity.

    Advice to Management

Continue to hIre quality staff with positive attitudes (A few rotten apples can ruin the whole tree). Work on improving and stabilizing the technological offerings.

I worked at Egencia full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

People are great. Work life balance is decent. Health benefits and travel discounts are good. Bellevue office location close to transit center.

    Cons

Executive leadership awful communication & leadership. President self absorbed. New CEO immature and green. Pay is poor. Office space hugely lacking . Executive admin team uneducated lack knowledge in role and honestly lazy, play office politics. Look elsewhere for better offers, environments and growth. You will not go anywhere at egencia

    Advice to Management

Leave and expedia president Dara needs to hire new executive leadership team for egencia. President of egencia has no involvement or communication with teams.

I have been working at Egencia full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The reasons people enjoy working at Egencia are, in order of importance: the people, the work/life balance, the technology.

    Cons

The salaries being on average lower than the competition makes it hard to attract the best candidates. This forced Egencia to lower a little bit its standards over the years.
Management style and culture is quite different between Egencia teams: some will require self-promotion and competing against your peers to get to the next level. Some other teams will allow you to evolve in a much more healthier environment.

Make sure the people who rise to the level of management are actually capable of managing people.
