I have been working at Egencia full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great corporate culture; the company actually tries to live by corporate mission, vision, and values statements; management is very accessible and sincerely cares about employees; huge opportunity for growth and advancement; a true market leader. I'm proud to work for this company.

    Cons

Dynamic corporate growth can lead to some awkward procedural bottle necks and red tape.

    Advice to Management

    Better organize for speed.

I have been working at Egencia full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Low hourly wages in exchange for good healthcare benefits and cost.
Gym Reimbursement up to $600.00 per year
    Small discount on Hotels
Vacation time is unlimited if you are salary, accrued and limited if you are hourly
Sick time is 10 days if you are salary, none if you are hourly
Travel reimbursement from $250.00 (taxable) based on your tenure per year

    Cons

No incentive or bonus program if you are hourly
Very strict policy for hourly workers (not salary) regarding sick and call outs, you are allowed so many occurrences in a year before termination
Salaried do not have the above policy regarding occurrences
If you apply internally for job you are qualified for, don't expect to hear anything back from HR unless you are friend of theirs
Limited advancement if you work from home, even though it is a tech company and everything is online
IT workers leaving for other companies in the Seattle area that pay market wages, better benefits, and profit sharing.

    Advice to Management

Your front line agents are highly experienced, most have more travel experience than management, stop treating them like middle schoolers, so you can feel in control! The employee surveys we take, means nothing if nothing changes! Give all your employees a bonus, not just management! This company wants to double its volume in the next few years, but doesn't want to pay anybody a fair market wage to get to that goal.
HR says they constantly reviewing employees wages to make sure they are at market, but we have never heard anybody getting a market adjustment mid-year. This company would be great if senior management would just listen for a change instead giving us lip service. Treat your employees as equals! Lets all share the same benefits.

I have been working at Egencia full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

So far I don't see any.

    Cons

Worst place I have ever worked, if you like being treated like a 4 year old then this is the place for you. They give 10 min breaks, barley enough time to use the bathroom. Don't be even one minute late or they will be on your case. Forget about asking for time off it will get denied.

    Advice to Management

Hire managers that know what they are doing.

I worked at Egencia full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good OBT, easy to use and call handling not too tightly scripted so callers can feel more at ease.

    Cons

Unrealistic call handling times for callers with technical issues, which are not really trained on and complex ticketing that makes up about 65% of calls. Unfortunately Egencia outsources a large number of travel consultant jobs and experienced corporate T/C's are not in the job market in large numbers.

    Advice to Management

Hire more experienced corporate travel people at Egenica, for consultant and supervisory positions.

I have been working at Egencia full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Good product, some great people

    Cons

Comp plan shrinks by 10-20% per year and no raise to base pay. Job responsibilities grow, competition increases, sales get more complicated yet company spends a lot of time and energy on figuring out how to nickel and dime salespeople

    Advice to Management

    Fix comp plan, value people
