    Pros

flexibility when it comes to wanting to pursue your own projects, open minded in this regard too.

    Cons

German, Swiss and other offices are very strict in terms of upward growth; analysts will never be consultants and if you don't have an MBA, PhD or went to an Ivy you're basically stuck being an analyst. Partners and consultants do the fun stuff and there is little room to move in if you're looking for entry level.

    Advice to Management

get rid of old school notions of seniority and strict hierarchies

I have been working at Egon Zehnder full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

This company really values the individual as well as collaborative teams. They provide opportunities above and beyond other management consulting firms to make sure you're developing and achieving your potential. Very impressed with the caliber of the people here and the spirit and values of the firm.

    Cons

Just the usual cons of a partnership model meritocracy that is very flat and encourages autonomy over hierarchy, it really depends on the individual to drive the development of their career. We could also be better of "managing out" low performers more quickly.

I worked at Egon Zehnder part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

GREAT people to work with, very sharp minds both in Research and Consulting. Excellent name on your resume, especially for consulting post-grad school.

    Cons

Work is total drudgery. Research is repetitive, demanding timelines, and NO path to consulting. None.

    Advice to Management

I'd try to use the top tier talent available in research, provide a path for career advancement into the ranks of consulting/partners. For a company that models itself on MBB, this is a no-brainer.

I worked at Egon Zehnder as an intern

    Pros

    - Driven, highly intelligent team of consultants that surrounds/impresses you every day
    - Systems in place for almost any event, good training & onboarding (they are an executive search firm after all)

    Cons

    - Corporate office setting and repetitive tasks can sometimes be a bore, depending on what office you are placed in
    - Serious advancement opportunities are only available to those with one or two advanced degrees (and, it seems, some management consulting experience at other firms)
