I worked at Egon Zehnder full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I began at Egon Zehnder as an intern and worked in the Research department for 2+ years after graduating college.
-There are absolutely amazing people at all levels and locations.
-Great focus on employee personal development.
-Good exposure to different industries and functions as a new grad.
-Above average pay and benefits for the requirements of the role.
-Openness to take on new projects and gain desired experience, although there is not much experience that can be gained.

    Cons

-Research Analyst role is sold to new grads as a 'consulting' role but it is not at all. As a Research Analyst at Egon Zehnder, you are a recruiter and nothing more. This will become even more apparent when you try to leave Egon Zehnder and the outside world will not consider you for any roles beyond recruiting.
-Career growth is very limited. You will get title promotions but will continue to do the same job. OK, maybe at the end you will have a few phone calls with candidates.
-Many consultants are great co-workers but some are absolutely miserable to work with with because they find the need to over-engineer a very simple job and put that stress on the Research team.
-At first, it seems like you will learn a ton from the Consultants but you quickly realize that the majority of them are highly pedigreed underachievers who didn't cut it in the Real World.
-Change moves VERY slowly. The adoption of new technology and processes is almost impossible, and the Tech Stack is stuck in the 80s.
-No efficiency at any level. The Research team works endless hours on useless client documentation or administrative tasks that could be completed with modern technology in minutes.

    Advice to Management

    -Adopt modern technology.
-Don't sell the Research role as "Consulting" because those candidates will come and go quickly and never be happy in the role.

I have been working at Egon Zehnder full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Fantastic work/life balance - no emails on your phone or evening/weekend work. Great EA community (over 30 other assistants). An amazing level of support during training period. EAs feel like they are heard.

    Cons

Not many, if you're a career EA - this is a great place for you but Executive Search isn't the right industry for everyone. Internal changes/decision making can, at times, be slow to implement.

    Advice to Management

    Keep listening to EAs.

I worked at Egon Zehnder part-time

    Pros

great culture, lax work environment, you have mentors and are purposely put on projects in industries that interest you

    Cons

little room for upward mobility, work responsibilities are repetitive and tedious, often a lot of interaction is done over headsets so you aren't doing a lot of in person interaction with your teams.
