I worked at Egon Zehnder full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

No special skill required for entry in data capture
Any one can easily get a job

    Cons

Managers.. They are just to take your blood
Associates have been working with same position for more than five years still no growth
    Only IJP is the option
Out of hundred of people only one or two get promoted via IJP with a 10% hike..
Special benefits for research executive but no benefits for information management associates
You will be forced to come to office on Saturdays to shred the work load which is actually not a work load just a different form of mismanagement.. But management will pay you for Saturday
Overall a good company for research department
But pls don't get recruitment as a information management associate as they will ruin the precious years of your life

    Advice to Management

Pls give medical benefits to information management associates
They are also part of your company

    Pros

    Less working hours (8 hours).

    Cons

Worst Managers. Some Managers are illiterate (don't understand anything) - they try to impose things on employees and extreme micromanagement is done.Useless reasons are given while the appraisal meetings - worst hikes are given. Promotion hikes are pathetic.Growth is very slow and there are specific issues with the Knowledge Center in terms of compensation structuring and growth.

    Advice to Management

Please hire well educated Managers who atleast know how to manage a team.

I have been working at Egon Zehnder full-time

    Pros

Experience of Executive Search. Job was sold as an interesting chance to interact with and be part of helping companies and executives reach their full potential.

    Cons

Egon Zehnder in London is a dysfunctional organisation with huge workload for support staff and Consultants taking on more and more projects with no consideration of the impact of that. Multiple support staff out on leave due to stress. As it is a partnership model, the Consultants make huge salaries whilst very little trickles down. Ego driven, hugely competitive, non-supportive environment. Bad behaviour is the order of the day. Seems absurd that Egon Zehnder are asked to consult on other corporations culture when their own is so badly wrong.

    Advice to Management

Ask an impartial company to do a management appraisal!! Stop pretending that there are no issues with your corporate culture and take action to stop the rot. Disaffected support staff leads to huge turnover and very poor morale. Care more.

    Pros

Exposure to highly accomplished executives and opportunity to work closely with dynamic, experienced Consultants and teams globally. Understanding of corporate structure and leadres.

    Cons

Inadequate compensation, especially for Researchers; there is also a glass ceiling (again within Research) and the promotion process/career advancement could be greatly improved.

    Advice to Management

Develop a reasonable career path, do a better job of recognizing excellent performance, develop more training/educational opportunities, do a better job communication long term strategy of firm

    Cons

Little appreciation of research, variable experience based on which consultants you work with, no career path for research to move up, research management is incestuous and stagnant

I worked at Egon Zehnder full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great Pay, nice people to work with.

    Cons

Lots of micromanagement. The work is pretty boring, very mundane and lots of data entry. Hope you like linkedin.

Work hard, no speaking. Think of your typical "Office Space" setting

No room for growth. You can work as hard as you want, and maybe after 15 years you'll become a Research Director, but good luck ever becoming a Consultant.

    Advice to Management

You're all very nice people. Nothing bad to report about you, but I guess the industry is very boring by its nature.
