    Pros

An amazing culture that offers great flexibility and puts a great amount of faith in their employees. In addition they really are tailoring to millennials preferences of dressing for your day and allowing a work life balance.

    Cons

The compensation could be a little greater.

    Advice to Management

    None

    Pros

Decent pay and benefits for hours worked.

    Cons

Compliance. Compliance. Compliance. But hey, you knew that already. Nothing real exciting here.

    Advice to Management

Not much you can do to spice this up. Look for people who don't desire a purpose other than their salary.

I worked at Eide Bailly full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

PTO policy gives ample time off, opportunities to work with a variety of clients made the work interesting. Great people to work with, bright co-workers.

    Cons

Employee portion of health insurance premium is expensive. Busy season hours are high, but to be expected. There seems to be a glut of partners at the moment that prevent bright people from being promoted until some of those partners retire.

    Advice to Management

Appreciate your people more! The log long hours during busy season and you don't offer any form of bonus. While annual evaluations/raises are nice, they seem to be lagging relative to other firms

    Pros

Great work/life balance, generous perks, fantastic growth opportunities

    Cons

Busy season can be rough but that is to be expected at a public accounting firm.

    Pros

    Benefits & compensation were good.

    Cons

Eide Bailly's staff is very clicky. Upper management for the administrative team meets bi-weekly for touch bases which are pointless. Any concerns brought to them are basically blown off and given back to you to deal with, meaning nothing really ever gets taken care of or fixed. Seniority is used against you, when it is their best interest to throw in your face. The tax administrative staff will 'train' you and then act like you are interrupting them and being annoying if you have any questions. Be expected to know everything there is to know by the 2nd year you work there and don't ask any questions. I kept copious notes and still had questions which I ended up being afraid to ask because they wouldn't be received with any respect. The partners are wonderful to work with for the most part and I had very good relationships with them, but unfortunately you don't work as closely with them as you do the administrative staff. To work here you need to not make mistakes, because doing so means that you 'don't care about your job'. Working in the administrative department is like riding a roller coaster of ups and downs and it's draining. The pros did not out weigh the cons which was a huge reason I left.

I worked at Eide Bailly full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Culture and coworkers are a huge plus. Politics and backstabbing are almost non existent compared to most places I have worked.

    Cons

Doesn't compete well for talent or business in larger markets. A large number of partners who don't pull their weight. Very slow to deal with poor performers. No incentive for anyone below partner level who brings in sales.

    Advice to Management

Incentivize employees for bringing in new business (not just partners). Deal with performance issues. Raise compensation to be competitive in markets.

I have been working at Eide Bailly full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great coworkers, good benefits, and interesting work

    Cons

Many partners/managers seem to have little interest in building the careers of the newer hires. They don't provide good constructive criticism and are reluctant to pass along more responsibility.

    Pros

Great people to work with and a great culture. Appreciated for long hours in tax season. Most of the partners are very friendly.

    Cons

It could be better pay. Raises don't happen very often. Not sure if it is as competitive as they would have you believe.
