I have been working at Eide Bailly full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent pay and benefits for hours worked.

    Cons

Compliance. Compliance. Compliance. But hey, you knew that already. Nothing real exciting here.

    Advice to Management

Not much you can do to spice this up. Look for people who don't desire a purpose other than their salary.

I worked at Eide Bailly full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Culture and coworkers are a huge plus. Politics and backstabbing are almost non existent compared to most places I have worked.

    Cons

Doesn't compete well for talent or business in larger markets. A large number of partners who don't pull their weight. Very slow to deal with poor performers. No incentive for anyone below partner level who brings in sales.

    Advice to Management

Incentivize employees for bringing in new business (not just partners). Deal with performance issues. Raise compensation to be competitive in markets.

    Pros

Pros of working at Eide is that you get to touch all sections of the audit, and feel like you are one with the small companies.

    Cons

The audit could be significantly better planned, procedures could be beefed up, and the training could be significantly improved.

    Advice to Management

Teach your staff how to fish, don't hand them the fish. Talent only lasts so long.

Thank you for providing feedback! I will pass it on to our trainers and Audit/Assurance leaders so that they are aware of the needs to improve.

    Pros

Flexibility is great. They show appreciation by planning office outing and events.

    Cons

If you aren't a CPA and on the administrative side pay isn't great and not much room for growth.

    Advice to Management

Promote the right people and provide proper management training when promoting people.

I have been working at Eide Bailly full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Big firm work but not a small firm office feel

    Cons

Tax season sucks big time. 55 charge hours equates to 70 hours at the office each week.

    Advice to Management

Make people leave after 65 hours. Quality of work and speed of work is reduced because people get burnt out

I worked at Eide Bailly full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

In the Colorado offices, the leadership promoted work-life balance. They allowed flexibility in your schedule to fit in work and personal commitments. The company offers a lot of technology training sessions continually through out the year. The company offers a lot of tax technical training as well.

    Cons

The clients are generally small to medium-sized, closely held businesses, so there isn't a whole lot of variety or challenge to the work.
