I have been working at Einstein Bros. Bagels full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Tips, new friends, vacation pay, medical and dental plans, food discounts

    Cons

Early morning hours (2am), work most holidays and weekends, $6 Mondays are crazy for bakers!

I have been working at Einstein Bros. Bagels full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Regular customers, getting to know community better and chance to work with some nice people.

    Cons

Pay too low to get quality applicants or retain those that are willing to work for $8.25 per hour. Labor costs trump good training while managers forced to work in positions rather than be managers.

    Advice to Management

Thank and appreciate those that are willing to work and do a good job. Notice when someone goes above and beyond . Don't allow consistent tardiness, call-outs and lead by example.

I worked at Einstein Bros. Bagels full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Free bagels. Never worked past 8. Free soda. Free bagels.

    Cons

Hiring employees that would work for such low pay. Also, so tight on inventory, my dm would often suggest I push back expiration dates.

I worked at Einstein Bros. Bagels part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I liked the early schedule. Good for college kid. I was able to have fun and work. The customers were nice and became friends with some that I keep in touch with. Good experience.

    Cons

Got very "corporate" at the end. They installed cameras company wide to monitor if employees were stealing food.

    Advice to Management

Management was good. The individual general managers determine how well the store does. They should be paid well.
