    Pros

I can truly say there was no pros about this joke and waste of time of a job. I promise don't work here

    Cons

this company is all about gossip and people trying to bring others down. If you want to feel like you're back in high school with the drama and gossip work here cause that's all this job is about. It's full of favoritism and you have absolutely no room for improvement. Your coworkers are constantly out to get you and get you fired. No matter how much you try to keep to yourself people don't care. The married men will try to get at you and sleep with you. They are disgusting, and disrespectful. 18 year olds with 50 year olds with a wife and kids. They don't respect you even if you tell them to stop. Managers don't care about customer service and disappear at hours at a time if you need them. When they are there they just gossip with people and talk about others. the sales people can do whatever they want to others with no type of punishment because they're the ones who bring money. Cashiers don't do anything right and are lazy and incompetent. The receptionists are lazy and very fake. Overall this company is a mess and only cares about themselves. You'll very much regret working here. No pay is worth being in such a negative environment.

    Advice to Management

Instead of caring about who's sleeping with who maybe you should do your job once in a while.

I worked at El Dorado Furniture (More than a year)

    Pros

    Decent hourly pay,
    Fairly easy job.

    Cons

Horrible management who don't know how to even run a business, A ton of favoritism within certain employees, the delivery drivers are rude ignorant cubans who think they run the company. no room for growth. All the employees are more worried about gossip then actually working. The company contradicts themselves on so many policies. The employess in the cashier's office are super lazy who complain about everything without doing an inch of work. The managers are cowards when it comes to facing customers who have issues with their orders. Overall WORST company I have ever worked for. SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND TROUBLE AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

    Advice to Management

Fire all you're leaders and start fresh because they all are doing a crappy job.

I worked at El Dorado Furniture full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Great work-life balance.
Benefits (despite being on the low-end and costly).
    Hardworking and helpful co-workers.
    Great work experience for resume.

    Cons

    Low wages with disproportionate responsibility.
Deceitful and disingenuous ownership, management, and human resources department.
Nepotism and cronyism are the company culture.
    Unprofessional and spiteful lower management.
Management micromanages and bullies employees, undermines staff ideas prior to company meetings, and marginalizes employee work while ownership blatantly ignores complaints.
Lower management vindictively creates a tense and fearful work environment.
    Antiquated hiring processes and policies.
    Questionable employment and corporate practices.

    Advice to Management

Pay employees competitive wages and keep promises made when hiring.
Company culture needs to be reevaluated, starting with issues of favoritism and unprofessionalism from ownership to lower management.
Ownership needs to understand and respect how much cronyism and favoritism destroy company moral.

I worked at El Dorado Furniture full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are some great ppl working here. Big company so a lot of employment diversity and opportunity. Convenient Locations as long as you are not transferred without notice (which happens very often every 9 months or less). Really good pay to sales associates and chance to make good money if you are good at it.

    Cons

The company itself doesnt care about its employees, Ever since the company founder died. Now as a 3rd generation family owned business they have completely change the company reputation . They transfer you without regard to your personal interest to any store they want. A lot of employees had to commute over 60-120 miles a day (Kendall to Coconut Creek) for months waiting for the next transfer to hopefully be relocated to a nearer Store to their home. Specific managers that have been so long in the company and have lost all sense of ethics and respect and Corporate doesn't do anything even after various complaints from its employees).
Company has weird and strict policies in regards to holidays and whether you qualify to be paid for them or not (most than usually they try to not pay you). Customer Service staff is IMMENSELY overworked with only 1 representative for every shift per store and as much as the company tries to cut costs by sharing their work with the receptionist and cashiers they still get everyday more than what they could handle. As far as cashiers : The schedule is every week changing and everyday is most likely different. One day you Open with the store and the next you Close and open the next day so more than likely you will not be able to study while you work. Forget about your weekends because the company frowns about getting weekends off if you are in sales or a cashier. Vacations are a big NO during November- February. I must add that forget about commendations or recognition for there is very little or non-existent. They even took off the End of Year Bonus to all employees.

    Advice to Management

I think most of the managers are really efficient at their jobs except a few. The biggest problem is the new owners running the company or new policies that damage morale and hurt employees personal lives with inconvenient situations.

    Pros

There was occasionally bagels and birthday cake.

    Cons

There is a lot of favoritism and nepotism. Lack of freedom or room for creativity or opportunity to learn. Interns are given busy work and do not gain experience. Surveillance cameras are used to monitor employees at every corner, and you have to wear a uniform everyday although it is supposed to be a corporate setting.
