    Pros

Three weeks of vacation time and a week of sick time every year. Also the bimonthly paychecks are always on time.

    Cons

Safety culture is extremely poor. Money is wasted on too many trips and lunches. Dishonesty from management at the local level.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to employees closer to the pipes. Cut cost on all the extras and pay the employees at least the average for positions in similar companies.

    Pros

Programs (STEP) events that support community initatives
Neutral compensation package (benefits are okay)
You will learn some things from some seasoned experts
    Work/life balance (flexible work schedule)
An independent buyer is considering buying the E&P company (hopefully they will be sharp and can recognize real talent)

    Cons

Some members of senior management outright lie about initiatives or career advancement
Most people belong to a clique and are very gossipy, mainly those who are not hard workers
Processes are terribly flawed, Process Optimization is a joke
Rewards are given with very little evidence of hard work
Most experienced people are in cubicles while less experienced/lazy people are in offices
Talented people are shoved aside while non-value add people push on through to promotions
Too many levels of management in some areas.

    Advice to Management

Recognize real talent when you see it. Don't continue to reward ass kissers and lazy folks.

    Pros

The job is easy, atmosphere is laid back, so much turnover that you will have job security regardless of your output.

    Cons

Upper management is not competent. Moving up in this company is nearly impossible. Lots of terrible 'initiatives' introduced that creates more work on top of day-to-day work, but adds zero value. Raises are small, bonuses are weak. This company is scrambling!

    Advice to Management

Find out what employees actually feel about what is going on, not what you are fed by mid-management. People are not happy here, and if you think turnover is bad now, wait until bonuses are paid in April. If the economy is even decent at that time, I foresee A LOT of people leaving once they cash those checks.
