I have been working at Electrolux full-time

    Pros

I enjoy what I do in engineering (can't say more without being revealing). The pay is good if you leverage at time of hiring.

    Cons

Raises suck, even when you excel. Now they took our PTO away, cutting our time off in half. Management does not make sure the facility is clean and in good repair. Safety is basically ignored, except for the things that the employee has to do. If management needs to do something about safety it goes unheeded. Parking is difficult.

    Advice to Management

Stop treating employees like they are disposable. Try to do things that would make their day at work easier. Improve parking, actually tow violators for a change. Keep the place clean, bright, and well maintained. HR, respond to emails as if each employee was a VIP, not someone to ignore. Thank people.

I worked at Electrolux full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

This was a good job enabled me to meet new people every 2nd week, to help the new workers put their best foot forward and understand the area they would be assign, to. I could get a feeling about the kind of employee they would be as far as just starting out with a new company. Most of the time this training was helpful to reach the goals set by management and other leadership in the company.

    Cons

Time for training was limited and very fast pace, some new trainees could not keep up with others and became discoraged and lost interest during the training, I would spot this trend very quickly and applied extra attention to those trainees. At times the trainee would catch up and complete his or her training and at time they would quit.

    Advice to Management

Have a training program that could be more universal and be used in many different ways because if a person almost completed his or her training and quit one of two day before completing their training, the company would loose money.
