Pros
Great office building with plenty of parking. Excellent benefits package and above average salary structure. Friendly and informal work environment. Lots of very talented people to work with on AAA sports titles. Pretty good work-life balance, even around crunch time thanks to good project management. Days working there would just fly by rather than drag.
Cons
Poorly designed, buggy and archaic processes and workflows that require constant handholding. An uneven mix of backward and cutting edge game technology. Tools tend to be created to support long winded processes than to actually aid creativity and quality. Too much tribal knowledge required as well as either resistance to change or an over keenness to completely redo rather than fix processes. Poor workflow is made worse by overzealous safeguards to protect build stability rather than make tools and processes more robust. Management is competent but too fragmented into different groups to be truly effective. Art is managed under the Artworks group and treated like an external contractor/outsource company rather than a part of the game development team. Little career advancement potential outside of management. Stable headcount, with no competition in the area, means little chance of being hired full time.

Pros
Very flexible and creative work environment. EA works as a loosely coupled entity of different studios around the world. I've had the opportunity to work in many studios with a wide range of games the exposure is amazing
Cons
Career growth might be limited. It really depends on a combination of how well you are doing, how well your product is doing, how well your studio is doing and how well the company is doing. If any of these parameters are sluggish, career growth might take longer
