    Pros

    Cons

All management is weak and are not willing to change or try new concepts. Too much family ....benefits are below market norm. Hours are way too long it doesnt provide healthy balance

    Advice to Management

Hire outside the family and treat all employees the same , run it like a business and not a family reunion

I worked at Electronic Express full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Family owned business.Hourly, 1% and spiff for sales associates but you have to hussle to make good money. Flexible schedule if needed. Fun environment to be in.

    Cons

No benefits or sick pay. District Managers play "favorites".
Don't stand behind any store policy- will tell you how to handle the customer issue but when the customer calls corporate, they switch it and make you look bad. VERY micromanaged. Store managers have no ability at all to discount. -corporate doesn't trust their store managers to make the right decisions. If you want a raise hourly wise, their excuse is that you make commission.

Good place to work but horrible place to make a career of.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your sales associates and especially your managers. Quit micro managing the store managers. You put them in that position for a reason, so start trusting them or you'll lose good employees to other companies.

I worked at Electronic Express full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Performance driven work environment that brings out the best in employees. Commissioned sales, so being personable is a must, with reward being above market pay for job qualification requirements. Management provides employees with all the tools and training to be successful. Flexible schedule, can practically work as few or as many hours as desired, great for those in college or just looking for good part-time money.

    Cons

Typical retail holiday hours, which can making family planning somewhat difficult.

    Advice to Management

Continue to invest in employees and overall quality of workforce, company as a whole benefits from this.

I have been working at Electronic Express part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Commissioned sales. Easy place to find a niche in. Has some fun products to demo.

    Cons

12 hour days, typically 10 hours of overtime per week.
Refusing requests to take lunches constantly. Managers never clock out for lunch. I was asked several times per week to lie to customers by managers. Managers constantly neglect their own responsibilities and blame employees for their mistakes to the district managers. Managers also flip employees sales into their own names when everyone is closing at night.

    Advice to Management

Stop promoting good salesmen, and on-board some people with real management experience or possibly even degrees. Adopt employee surveys.

    Pros

Seems to offer growth as far as the opportunity to advance to other departments. It's a family-run business and most of the family members are nice.

    Cons

Very low pay and terrible optional health benefits. Poor work-life balance.

    Advice to Management

Offer all full time employees health benefits. Give annual performance reviews and raises.

    Cons

Unprofessional management team. No room to grow.

    Advice to Management

You should drug test your managers.
