I have been working at Elements Massage full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I am fortunate to have wonderful and compassionate owners/management. The therapists are truly professional and have been carefully selected to be a part of the team. I was a client before an employee here and see this first hand especially since I have visited many different studios over the years from private studios to Massage Envy. The Wellness Program is better than any other places I have visited in the past. My...

    Cons

Since each franchise is individually operated, there is not that huge company growth opportunity, but if you work hard and give your all there appear to be potential opportunities.

    Advice to Management

    Keep rocking the amazing work!

I have been working at Elements Massage full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Great for students who have a flexible schedule (willing to work nights/weekends). I cannot think of any other pros.

    Cons

Incredibly low pay (lowest in the industry, even though we promote "Best Massage). Very catty and toxic work environment with lots of favoritism among employees. You will be expected to go above and beyond the requirements of your job description without receiving any pay increase or bonus. Monthly massages are rare - you will be bumped. At Elements Massage, the wellness and health of PAYING CLIENTS are important; the...

    Advice to Management

Do not talk to your employees in the same tone you use to discipline your children, and do not talk to your via text employees after business hours! Your employees are human beings - they have lives outside of work, families, their own personal lives; keep work drama free! NOBODY wants to work somewhere that will most certainly impact their personal life so negatively.

I have been working at Elements Massage part-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

These franchises are independently owned. Your work experience here will depend on the owner of the individual franchise you work for. The owner of my particular Elements is ethical and kind. He takes his employees out to dinner once a quarter and communicates business results and goals at that time. The manager is also kind and works hard to keep employees and clients happy. They are both awesome people to work...

    Cons

The SCSS job can be very busy at times. You are responsible for checking clients in, out, selling memberships, answering the phone, scheduling appointments, making sure all the client information is in the system correctly, dealing with clients that are not completely satisfied at times, etc. It is for sure a job that requires focus and multi-tasking, which is great for someone who enjoys that and wants the time to...

I have been working at Elements Massage part-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Mostly great workers, clients are usually great, non rotating schedule. Great potential if corporate policy's were followed better. Convenient location

    Cons

Horrible management, they are extremely unprofessional. Pay is very poor and raises are infrequent and happen rarely. Very high turn over among front desk due to poor treatment by management. Frequent labor law violations.

    Advice to Management

Hire a full time manager and step away from your business.

      I worked at Elements Massage

      Pros

Enjoyed seeing and talking to many of the clients.

      Cons

Low pay , no breaks from sitting at desk. (You even eat your lunch at the desk) You are promised wonderful bonuses on selling memberships , they are very low. No chance for advancement , no benefits. Manager has a very nasty attitude , needs to get off her high horse! Will promote nasty behavior from certain employees.

      Advice to Management

Get off your high horse and treat employees with decency, treat all the same.

I worked at Elements Massage full-time for more than a year

      Pros

free monthly massage, super discounted rate for extra massages, membership rate for family/friends. most of the employees seem like such fun people! the membership program is a great deal and is easy to sell.

      Cons

no health insurance, negative atmosphere this could be a really fun environment to work in! as it stands, it's SUPER negative. ALL the employees seem really put out by the manager and many say they're too afraid to talk to the owner about it because they think the manager has him fooled by sucking up to him. I'm not one to engage in much hear-say so I'll just stick with this: I've had multiple less-than-positive experiences...

      Advice to Management

if I were an owner and I read this, I'd want to honestly talk to my employees without the manager present so I could get the real story without them fearing that manager's wrath. even if I didn't care about my employees well-being at my establishment, I'd still want to know what's going on because a situation like this can cost the business a lot of money because customers can feel that vibe the minute they walk in the...

I worked at Elements Massage part-time for more than a year

      Pros

-One free massage per month -Relaxing environment -Clean atmosphere -(These are the absolute only pros to working here. Thats it.)

      Cons

Oh goodness, where do I even begin? Although the hiring process was easy, I quit after the second day of training to be a Sales/Client Service Specialist. 1.) On the first day, I immediately noticed why this place has such a high turnover rate. To begin, my studio manager told me right off the bat that my schedule would be permanent. What I thought was that I would work the same days but different hours each week....

      Advice to Management

This company needs some SERIOUS readjustments. Fix the stupid permanent scheduling issue and maybe employees won't have to fight management about their schedules if something happens. Things do happen in life you know. Hire more people then. You can't leave it all up to the employee to fix things. Also, the whole awkward drama between the therapists, clientele, and receptionists needs to end because it is extremely noticeable....

      Pros

Working here is relaxing and calming. The owner is genuine and cares about his employees, as well as rewards for good work.

      Cons

Dealing with this type of clientele can be challenging and test your patience. Also Massage Therapists are a difficult group of people to work with.
