I worked at Elements Massage part-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

They will keep you busy. This is the best place to gain experience in the field because they provide a perfect balance between number of treatments and employee benefits (e.g assistance with insurance renewals, complementary treatments, CEUs...)

    Cons

You may need to move fast between sessions to maintain client appointment schedules

    Advice to Management

Do not require employees to wear black. This color absorbs too much energy which is not conducive to the employee's health in a treatment room. Also, uniforms should not be polyester--these plastic fibers are wreaking havoc on our bodies and the Earth.

I have been working at Elements Massage part-time for more than a year

    Pros

The environment is great, my boss is also great. They do all the scheduling for you, so you don’t have to worry about that. You get paid even if you aren’t giving massages. Clients here are pretty good tippers. I like having a set schedule, but it’s also very easy to adjust it as needed and request off. You aren’t expected to do much cleaning, besides cleaning up after yourself and helping make sure the spa looks nice.

    Cons

Pay is low, but that’s to be expected working at a place like this. It’s a really great place for a beginner though, you’ll get lots of experience.

I have been working at Elements Massage part-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

My schedule is always full and I can add shifts whenever I want. The manager and owner are very professional and easy to work with. They really care about the staff.

    Cons

Base pay is a little low but there are few MT jobs that you dont need to do front desk work. Salary probably fits the responsibilities.

    Advice to Management

Continue to stay organized and treat the staff well as you have been doing. Thank you!

I have been working at Elements Massage full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

Great team with good support! There's no pressure on the MT to make sales numbers or quotas, just fun incentives to do so (i.e. raffle prizes, gift cards, etc.). You can go and just do your job without having to stress about that. Also you're working as a W-2 employee and don't have to worry as much about taxes.

    Cons

It would be nice to be able to expand into other modalities without having to go through corporate red tape. Things like cold stone massage, medical cupping, and Ashiatsu would greatly enhance our current repertoire.

    Advice to Management

Thank you for endeavoring to maintain transparency and openness in communication. Please continue to do so.

I worked at Elements Massage full-time for more than 2 years

    Pros

As a new massage therapist out of school, you will get booked without having to worry too much, as well as everything you need is there. (lotion/oil, room/tables, etc). While you learn to hone in on your skills and marketing yourself, you have the front desk staff helping book and answer phones and the company promotes for you. Usually the people you work with are amazing! and it is nice to be able to work along side...

    Cons

While each individual studio has its private owners, that can be good or bad. My personal boss was very greedy and didn't understand how much work it was as a massage therapist. When I started, we had 15 minutes in between each client, which gave time for the clients to get dresses, have an outtake talk with the clients, and change the room over to get the new clients. That alone barely gave enough time but it is doable....

I have been working at Elements Massage full-time for more than 6 years

    Pros

Good people to work with, they leave you alone to do your job.

    Cons

Low pay, front desk turn around.

    Advice to Management

Raise your pay for therapist and front desk employees, people will want to stay. Show us that you value us. I've been there 5 years and the owners still can't remember my name.
