I worked at Elements Massage part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They will keep you busy. This is the best place to gain experience in the field because they provide a perfect balance between number of treatments and employee benefits (e.g assistance with insurance renewals, complementary treatments, CEUs...)

    Cons

You may need to move fast between sessions to maintain client appointment schedules

    Advice to Management

Do not require employees to wear black. This color absorbs too much energy which is not conducive to the employee's health in a treatment room. Also, uniforms should not be polyester--these plastic fibers are wreaking havoc on our bodies and the Earth.

I have been working at Elements Massage full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I started at Elements in March of 2018 as a full-time front desk receptionist and have worked my way up to the assistant manager position. I love my job because our members become our acquaintances and our staff become our family. Everyone that works here is extremely supportive and helpful; management tries their best to make the workplace as comfortable as possible and keep all of their employees happy. Of course, there are days when we encounter not so nice clients, but the rest of the staff always has your back in situations like that! Typical day as a front desk receptionist includes answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, dealing with members/guests, signing people up for our Wellness Program, and maintaining a warm and inviting atmosphere for anyone who walks through our door. Very light cleaning is required during closing shifts such as sweeping, mopping, and wiping down the front desk (all cleaning can usually be completed within 10-15 mins). Highly recommend working here as a front desk receptionist if you are a young adult who commutes to college or is almost out of high school as we offer flexible hours to accommodate school schedules. There is always room for advancement in the company if you portray leadership roles and show how dedicated you are to keep this studio growing!

    - 401k plan, flexible scheduling, great staff, members/guests are lovely, detailed training, above average pay

    Cons

No health insurance at the moment

I worked at Elements Massage part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I LOVED the relaxing atmosphere, the people I worked with, and our ability to be somewhat creative with specials and holiday events. My location was a surprisingly functional mix of corporate rule and franchise freedom.

    Cons

Sometimes corporate changed the rules many times over a short period, or were foggy about how these changes should be implemented.

    Pros

Free monthly massages. Like the title says, if you like high pressure sales and that's a passion of your, this is it.

    Cons

If you can't maintain at least 20-30% conversion rate your out the door. Training is odd and your expected to jump in running.

I have been working at Elements Massage part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The environment is great, my boss is also great. They do all the scheduling for you, so you don’t have to worry about that. You get paid even if you aren’t giving massages. Clients here are pretty good tippers. I like having a set schedule, but it’s also very easy to adjust it as needed and request off. You aren’t expected to do much cleaning, besides cleaning up after yourself and helping make sure the spa looks nice.

    Cons

Pay is low, but that’s to be expected working at a place like this. It’s a really great place for a beginner though, you’ll get lots of experience.

I have been working at Elements Massage part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

My schedule is always full and I can add shifts whenever I want. The manager and owner are very professional and easy to work with. They really care about the staff.

    Cons

Base pay is a little low but there are few MT jobs that you dont need to do front desk work. Salary probably fits the responsibilities.

    Advice to Management

Continue to stay organized and treat the staff well as you have been doing. Thank you!
