I worked at Elements Massage part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Great clients and co-workers. If you are wanting to get experience for your resume, this is a good place to start. Just be prepared to have your resume up to date while you work here. Free massage is nice.

    Cons

Lots of turnover! Commission program was rebuilt with unrealistic expectations so it became unattainable. Management creates atmosphere of pitting employees against each other. Be VERY careful what you say and who you say it to.

    Advice to Management

Retire. If that's not an option, then start behaving in an ethical business manner. You've blown through LOTS of really good people; it would help your business to have less employee turnover. When you implement a sales incentive program, honor it.

I worked at Elements Massage for more than a year

    Pros

Free massages. The owners are extremely sympathetic to personal life issues that may arise. They really want the team to be a family.

    Cons

For this particular location there are too many competitors close by that have way more to offer someone. The owners are horrible at running a business. While I was there they cut another front desk associates pay $2 per hour so they could afford to hire a manager but they still made the girl who's pay they cut do all of the new managers work. They walked all over that girl yet she was the only one there who really knew...

I worked at Elements Massage part-time for more than a year

    Pros

The management is very flexible, and they take you in like you are one of their own kids. It's really very sweet, almost like a family. I still visit the location to catch up with the lives of my Elements family. The training is very thorough: no stone is left unturned, and corporate is very supportive of every worker, helping to improve every minute detail. The atmosphere and office culture is one which cultivates and...

    Cons

There were some issues with management allocating roles to administrative staff, and communication, at times, is not always the best. It is to be expected, though. Also to be expected is problems with technology. The program used for scheduling massages suffers from frequent glitches and bugs, which can make interacting with clients frustrating and even embarrassing due to the wait times when booking or checking out appointments.

I worked at Elements Massage part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Free massage per month. Employees are nice.

    Cons

Compensation. $5 x member which seems like a good amount until you get told that you have to wait 2 months for that $5 & they have to stay a member, also other Elements pay more for member & pay higher for membership level. Owners are very unprofessional, unorganized and cheap. They hire good staff and annoy them until they quit. It seems to be a hard concept to understand that some people just do not want to become...
