I have been working at Elements Massage full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great for students who have a flexible schedule (willing to work nights/weekends). I cannot think of any other pros.

    Cons

Incredibly low pay (lowest in the industry, even though we promote "Best Massage). Very catty and toxic work environment with lots of favoritism among employees. You will be expected to go above and beyond the requirements of your job description without receiving any pay increase or bonus. Monthly massages are rare - you will be bumped. At Elements Massage, the wellness and health of PAYING CLIENTS are important; the...

    Advice to Management

Do not talk to your employees in the same tone you use to discipline your children, and do not talk to your via text employees after business hours! Your employees are human beings - they have lives outside of work, families, their own personal lives; keep work drama free! NOBODY wants to work somewhere that will most certainly impact their personal life so negatively.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Elements Massage part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Good, friendly people; nice, cozy facility; flexible schedule; online schedule access; employee massages and facials benefits; quality therapists that give quality work!

    Cons

Lower pay and tips than resort style spas. But really, that's the only con that I can think of right now.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work! Prompting and encouraging a positive work environment through treating employees well, not just by words, but deeds also, is a great way to ensure the clients are treated well!

I worked at Elements Massage full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Flexible schedule to start but they will change it. Okay for beginners if there wasn't another job in the world.

    Cons

Petty, underhanded management. No morals or ethics. Front desk plays favorites. No pay while sitting there all day. Very low massage rate. If you manager doesn't like you she won't book you. And your personal information isn't private, she will give it out to clients!!!

    Advice to Management

    Fire manager and start fresh

I have been working at Elements Massage part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Pays well above minimum wage plus the opportunity to earn commission. Steady hours, flexible schedule, and the people are great. Coworkers are friendly, fun and welcoming. Even the management is great!

    Cons

Seniority definitely comes into play when it comes to scheduling. While time off is limited, there are certain days you absolutely cannot ask off. There is room for raises at each review, but not a lot of opportunity for growth.
