I have been working at Elevate Labs full-time

    Pros

    - Working with really smart, driven people - Being trusted to do your best work (not busy work) - Time for autonomous work alongside exciting collabs - Mission is deeply felt by all employees

    Cons

    - Hiring more remote employees, but remote work is rare/heavily scrutinized for local employees. Some inroads here, so expect the policy to expand in the near future.

I worked at Elevate Labs full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

I worked at Elevate for over 5.5+ years and I enjoyed every single day. It actually never felt like a job. The highlights are: • The team. Mission driven, talented team. The engineering bar is very high. • Transparency and direct access to management. Elevate is a great place to learn directly from them, particularly if you want to start a company in the future. • Growth opportunity. Hard work is appreciated and properly compensated. You can move up the ladder faster than at other companies, if you are willing to put the work and take responsibilities. • Flexibility to work on projects you are passionate or want to learn more. • Great engineering culture. Everybody's opinion is taken into account, from the most senior engineer to the newest intern. Multiple opportunities to learn other areas and get out your comfort zone. • Ability to work on a stunning app, used and loved by millions of users around the world. Design team is world class, and got to learn a lot from them.

    Cons

    • Probably the pace things tend to move. If you're coming from a bigger, corporate tech company, it might take some time to get used to. My suggestion would be that, if you see some process that can be improved, jump right to it and fix it when you have some bandwidth. It will be immediately recognized.

I have been working at Elevate Labs full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

-This company keeps the user top of mind and works to create products that'll actually help people improve their lives in meaningful ways. -Employees are the best of the best - a true team of all-stars at every position. -There are clearly defined paths to career growth, and managers and product contributors are equally valued. -The company values are much more than posters on a wall, which fosters an incredible company culture. -Independence vs. micromanagement is the standard.

    Cons

-Standards are high and change is constant; a con to some but a pro to many.

I have been working at Elevate Labs full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Some of the most talented, thoughtful, and collaborative people you're likely to work with - Important and impactful products that help millions improve their cognitive strength and mental wellness. - Has the energy, potential, growth, and learning opportunities of a startup with the security of a sustainable, well-established, profitable product. - Delicious and healthy daily chef-cooked lunches and dinners. - Good work life balance, and recently has moved to strong/competitive salaries.

    Cons

    - It's a still startup, which comes with a certain amount of uncertainty. The company is very well-footed financially so there's no big risk there, but it's hard to know for sure what the world will look like year from now in terms of what the priorities will be. This can be appealing, of course, if you're looking for growth, adaptability, and the ability to help define some of that yourself. - I don't think I could ever go back to catered meals.

I have been working at Elevate Labs for more than 5 years

    Pros

A+ team. Quality people building products that contribute social good. Excellent leadership/management and a positive, motivating, trusting company culture. Countless opportunities for growth. The work is enjoyable and fulfilling.

    Cons

Just the usual downsides of working in the SF Bay Area: cost of living, commute quality/time, etc. Nothing directly attributable to this company and certainly nothing that warrants a lower star rating.

I have been working at Elevate Labs full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Elevate is a fantastic place to work! Everyone here is really passionate about what they do, from engineering to content to design to marketing. They're also top of their class. I'm an engineer here and it's a pleasure to work in a place where engineering is so highly regarded, where the team is encouraged to come up with the best possible solutions to every problem. The team is also small but growing, and their apps have a huge number of users. This means that each individual's contributions have really big impact on a lot of people. If you're looking for a place with very high-pace development, alongside absolutely brilliant, highly-motivated and well-organized people where you will have to learn a lot and will get ownership of very challenging projects, this is it. Also, you get free, delicious meals!

    Cons

Sometimes the smell from the great meals being prepared in the kitchen makes its way to other areas, so if you're hungry you can find it a little distracting.

I worked at Elevate Labs full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - Elevate is a company dedicated to helping people learn. Sure, they make one of the most critically acclaimed apps on the App Store, but at the end of the day everything they do is genuinely about improving people's lives. If positive societal impact is important to you, working here is something you can feel great about every day. - There's a strong culture of innovation here. For such a small company, their achievements are tremendous. They're constantly striving to produce experiences that will amaze and inspire their users. The bar for quality is high, and that principle truly extends to every corner of the company. - You will not find a more talented, hard-working team anywhere. Without exception, every person I have worked with here is brilliant and dependable. - They're a tight-knit bunch who take their job seriously but also keep it fun. As cliché as it might sound, working here often doesn't feel like work. - Be prepared to learn on the job... a lot! It's difficult to put into words just how much I learned in my first two years here. You could say that the company's focus on education extends to career growth as well. Your coworkers are overflowing with knowledge, and they're happy to share it with you. - There is no shortage of interesting challenges to solve. This is the kind of job where you can really showcase your creativity. - You have *way* more autonomy here than you would at most companies. Of course you have specific goals and problems you're trying to solve, but you have the freedom to experiment and design your own solutions. - Regardless of what team you're on, you'll have plenty of opportunities to collaborate with other teams. You can expect to pick up skills across disciplines. - Get your ideas to the top quickly. Leadership is open-minded and always make themselves available to listen. They take your concerns seriously and react to them. - The food alone is a good enough reason to want to work here. The company has its own gourmet chef who prepares delicious, unique meals from scratch. It's pretty nutritious overall, but the entire company will run to the kitchen for the desert snacks--they're to die for.

    Cons

    - It's a startup, and that's not for everyone. You need to be able to think on your feet and tackle problems without being asked. If you like having solutions handed down to you, this may not be the job for you. - The food will spoil you. I'm completely serious.
