I have been working at Eli Lilly and Company full-time

    Pros

Decent benefits and pay for Indiana - not as competitive though outside the state.

    Cons

Too many stressed out, anxious, perfectionists running around trying to justify their worth to the company. The most passive -aggressive culture I've experienced.

I have been working at Eli Lilly and Company full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very hard working group. Entire study team is nice to work with. Benefits are very good. Can work from home to accommodate appointments, etc. Nice to get the last week of the year off via company shut down. Free gym benefits are nice if you can find the time to go.

    Cons

Pay is a bit lower than industry average. Recent forced retirements has led an already depleted workforce to a breaking point. Work/Life balance is just lip service. 50-55 hrs/week avg for months on end gets old. Training should be improved. Need to hire more qualified employees.

    Advice to Management

Stop forcing veteran talent out the door. Training needs to be revamped. More face to face training is needed. Work needs to be reviewed by colleagues before being approved especially for newer employees in order to catch errors beforehand and not after the fact. Need to create a position where the person does nothing but review other people's work and approves documents. More people are needed. 40-50 hours of OT every month is ridiculous. People are not robots and quality will eventually suffer.

    Pros

Focused on excellence in research, revenue, relationships. The experience and expertise in unmatched in this part of the US. Able to remain focused on core initiatives and yet dynamic enough to adjust to market forces in a manner that it not inconsistent with the company's heritage.

    Cons

Challenge to always recruit top talent to Indianapolis.

    Advice to Management

Keep the heritage of the company and its values top of mind as you navigate the ever-changing business environment.

I worked at Eli Lilly and Company full-time

    Pros

Great benefits, good brands, car replaced frequently, culture overall ok, better than other pharma companies.

    Cons

Low bonus structure, teammates kiss up to district manager, questionable culture, as a tenured employee you get penalized for raises and they gave raises to the newer people. Performance does not matter one you ake more than 90K they slow down on the raises, It's very unfair.
