I have been working at Eliassen Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I started with Eliassen Group (post merger) with light recruiting experience outside of the IT industry. Eliassen has a great training program in place that allowed me to get up and running quickly.

Their leaders practice servant leadership and work alongside recruiters to help them succeed. It is a positive, yet heads down environment with a great compensation plan and flexible work environment. Nothing but positive things to say about the Cincinnati Eliassen office and Eliassen Group as a whole.

    Cons

I have had a great experience working with Eliassen thus far.

I have been working at Eliassen Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Training is key here; I started straight out of college and they taught me everything I needed to know to be a good recruiter. The pay is very competitive but is VERY heavy on the commissions side. We recently changed commission plans but the new one is even better than our old one. I work with a very solid crew - they really desire to have a positive, team-based culture.

    Cons

Some internal rumblings following a merger last year had people on edge, nothing too crazy. Again, earnings are almost too heavy on commissions, but if you stay motivated you can do very well - much better than the other companies in the industry from what I have learned from friends.

    Advice to Management

Keep letting us know about the road the company is on. I really enjoy my career here!

I have been working at Eliassen Group full-time

    Pros

    - Have learned a lot of after coming into the position with no experience
    - Training program sets you up to contribute quickly
    - Realistic expectations
    - Great earning potential
    - Very strong sense of team culture

    Cons

    - Industry can be unpredictable at times, but I wouldn't say that's an Eliassen issue
    - Base salary could be higher, however they really make up for it with our bonus/commission plans

    Advice to Management

Create more mid-level advancement roles. Other than that, it's been a great experience!

I have been working at Eliassen Group full-time

    Pros

Paid weekly, little to no supervision

    Cons

Misleading hiring practices, no holiday pay, very little PTO, lack of communications

    Advice to Management

Get a clue. All the Eliassen employees hired for the project I'm on feel that they were fooled into thinking they would actually be W-2 employees and not exempt W-2 employee who didn't earn holiday or vacation pay. If I ever find myself in the position to hire, I will tell those folks sent by Eliassen for interviews what their vague contracts actually say.
