I worked at Eliot Management Group full-time

    Pros

Pros? You must be joking right?

    Cons

I worked for the location located in Glendale/Milwaukee, WI in 2010. I started here on a Monday and was done with this place by lunch time Thursday. I took on the position because work was hard to come by after I was let go from my previous one and did not know what I was getting into after started there. One of the first things I learned about this place is cold calls. Calling numbers from pages and pages you get. Making calls with a script that you were able to doctor up to get the persons attention. I can not COUNT how many times they were not interested, trying to hear it or just simply hung up. I hardly did not get any takers for someone to make an appointment with us and when I did, it was maybe enough to count on a couple of fingers.

There were a lot of red flags that went up about this place day by day. I was not receiving any hourly pay and maybe weeks before I saw any income due to any sales being made. Basically I was working for free. The guy who started the same time as me, informed me that when he went out to have a smoke the security guard asked, "You must work at Eliot Management?" He was surprised and was like "Yes, how did you know?" The guard told him that there's always a new person that comes through that building and it's usually for this place.

When I was moved to a cubicle not knowing I was leaving that day, I saw the same call lists from the previous person who sat there and just so happened to be the same ones I had. The final nail in the coffin was that script. In part of that script you mentioned about how there hasn't been any fraudulent card activity in the last so many months, they were eligible for whatever the hell it was. Some of the business that were on this list were bars I've been to and some of them were cash only businesses. So with that being said, how would you know there were no fraudulent card activity if the establishment doesn't take debit/credit cards?

And because place did not pay their employees some kind of hourly pay, there was a class action suite against them in 2012 and I received the letter for this and I had to fill out a form giving the dates when I worked there. If they are now finally providing hourly wages, good for them. If not, I don't know why on God's green earth why you would work there

    Pros

Tons of support, local office, local training, every office has local presence allowing customers to come directly to you. Nationwide territory no restrictions sell anywhere in the US.

    Cons

There is often not enough time in a day to accomplish everything we need to get done. I often work Saturdays to catch up on existing customer requests.

    Advice to Management

More product training as there are so many and so much to learn.

The mentorship continues at the local office level, after the training is done. They offer money making opportunities continuously!!

    Cons

It does take some time to get some issues resolved. They will get resolved though!
