Pros

I freelanced with Elite for a year before joining the company full time. Elite has an amazing CEO and culture. Everyone is very kind and competent. The fact that it's fully remote is great for working parents and others who do best working from home, and the culture is very accommodating. As a full-time freelancer, I made a significant chunk of my monthly income from working with Elite. There are a lot of different writing and editing opportunities there, so if you do well, you will be given the chance to expand into other areas and make more income.

Cons

Elite offers good rates, especially for new or intermediate freelancers, but you have to learn to work efficiently to maximize your income. The process documents for each service line can be pretty dense, but it's really important to read them closely and become familiar with the process - correctly following processes is a determining factor in your success here.

Pros

The team culture is supportive, gratifying, and fun. The work is varied and ongoing. The standards are high, but it serves to keep me on my toes and always improve. Jennifer is also an incredible boss and treats her editors well. She offers the perfect balance of availability/encouragement and guidance/leadership.

Cons

Being able to work on my own time is great, but because deadlines are rolling and always ongoing, it's sometimes necessary to work outside of normal business hours.

Pros

I've worked a lot of places and this is - by far - my favorite place to work. The job is remote and the hours are flexible, letting me work from anywhere. So far, I've worked from the beach, from an extended vacation at the lake, from coffee shops, etc. The staff is also amazing to work with. Everyone is super friendly and incredibly supportive. I've never experienced such an amazing team before.

Cons

Since work is remote, you work at your own pace, so you have to be disciplined in staying on task and keeping up with the workload.
