    Pros

Close ties with Amazon facilities. Can advance if you play their games.

    Cons

I spoke with them for almost 2 months about 2 different Amazon locations. On the first day of work they informed us that in 2 weeks we have to travel to another state for training. There were around 30 new employees. Nothing was said about this training during the interview process. Supervisor didn't like me because I would not go on the trip (full time single dad) and a week later they fired me. No warnings or... anything like that. Just fired. They can't even follow their own rules in the employee handbook. Supervisor was always late and he talks down to people. He thinks he's still in the military and everyone should follow directions without question. Meanwhile, he can't even figure out a schedule for training before the trip.

    Advice to Management

Be honest with interviewee's. If you're going to send people on a training trip before their first paycheck, give them their per diem up front so they don't have to stress about that. Have a plan in place when you get a new contract. I know this one was short notice, but you have to at least have a plan that you can share with your employees. Start being honest and upfront about your employees are going to face.

    Pros

Ability to gain experience in AWS environment, although personal time will be needed. Coworkers are friendly, helpful, and great to be around. Build connections into Amazon so you can move on.

    Cons

ELS infrastructure is nonexistent, and any plan to build one is shot down. There is no internal database, no reporting, no automation, and no one who has seen anything but that. Leadership does not understand technical issues and is unable to commit on long term goals to improve environment. eg. Hard to sell migrating your data into AWS and automating data centric tasks when management doesn't understand the... intricate working of a pivot table. Inability of management to understand and deal with own weaknesses. Leads to not being able to delegate tasks to those most capable, micromanagement, lack of innovation, and low morale. Management lack of experience in the actual business leads to large amounts of time dedicated to keeping them as up to speed as possible. This relates back to the delegation issues. High turnover leads to needing to do a wide variety of tasks far outside of responsibility for the company to continue to operate. Any personal growth benefit of working with AWS IT solutions is negated by the above weaknesses of the company and management. Personal time will need to be used to keep if you want to keep up with current tech.

Decent Pay but not sure about the benefits at this time.

    Cons

Poor to no training - Poor leadership. Complaints not listened too, management does not care to hear your explanations. Unorganized management - direction changes on a dime. Management is never wrong . Belittlement comes easy, only time you hear from management is when they see a problem. Management will lie straight to your face and others.

I have been working at Elite Line Services full-time for more than a year

    Pros

I've been with Daifuku/ELS for 2 years -Work is steady -Paycheck is steady -Not too much pressure until peak seasons. -People you work with are pretty chilled.

    Cons

-Upper management is pretty rough -No HR rep that can talk with you face to face -Advancement is pretty much dead. -People get promoted over a test vs being the "right" person for the job. -Job advancement is unclear.

    Advice to Management

There's too many promises being made and so much more uncertainties. People are afraid of losing their jobs due to cutbacks. Make it clear so your own people can prepare their fates.
