    Pros

great people great products great heritage

    Cons

management gets worse by the day ran a great company in to the ground not sure they can make it back

    Advice to Management

hire and keep people that know what they are doing-not your friends and people with degrees that don't matter. don't layoff people the week before bonus payout-they earned their bonus and deserve it-bad enough you lay them off-stop being SLEEZY and not paying out bonuses due to your mismanagement while you walk away with millions

    Pros

Good people and great brands, entrepreneurial spirit. You receive high levels of exposure because it is a lean team.

    Cons

Company performance has been poor for several years and lay offs have been annual.
Inconsistent performance reviews have not received recent opportunity for personal development

    Advice to Management

Make senior management more accountable for professional development. 360 degree feedback as part of overall feedback.
    Clearer paths for professional development.

I have been working at Elizabeth Arden full-time

    Pros

Good team dynamic within all departments, company lunch activities, free samples once in a while

    Cons

I'm disappointed in the company for allowing unprofessional behavior to be tolerated in ecomm dept (i.e. yelling, screaming, bullying on a ridiculous/crazy level especially by the head of the department who has years of experience). Shame on Elizabeth Arden for allowing this negative & unprofessional treatment. I can also hear similar yelling in another department once in a while.

    Advice to Management

    Be professional

I worked at Elizabeth Arden full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Elizabeth Arden has a great company culture that is the perfect hybrid of a large corporation and a small entrepreneurial company. Most people are friendly and there is a lot of transparency with little hirearchal politics.

    Cons

Most departments needed more bandwidth, most people were there after hours and they needed more resources.

    Advice to Management

    Don't be afraid of change.

I have been working at Elizabeth Arden full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have been with the company for 7-8 years. I love the experience I have gained over those years by doing different jobs within the company. I love the culture the company has and the willingness to work with you as an employee.

    Cons

There is a lot of uncertainty now with being bought by Revlon. Moral is low now more than ever as everyone is scared they are going to lose their jobs. It sad to watch the company I love fall into this rut. There are also many people in jobs that i truly think are not qualified for and the only reason they have those roles is due to seniority and not skill set. Also some roles have poor work/life balance. All you do is work and you get burnt out quickly.

    Advice to Management

Talk to your employees and let them know what is going on, especially now. You have many very valuable employees that hold certain departments together that are looking at jumping ship because of all the uncertainty and lack of communication.

I have been working at Elizabeth Arden (More than 8 years)

    Pros

EA has offered a lot of opportunities for growth and travel over the years. A wide variety of projects, many having a positive impact on the company and its bottom line. Knowing what I know today, would make the choice to work here again!

    Cons

The company is struggling and is being acquired by Revlon. Limits the work that can be done and opportunities for growth.

I have been working at Elizabeth Arden full-time

    Pros

Management is very flexible and understanding. Perks of casual Fridays and make your own hours. Work from home 1 day a week if wanted.

    Cons

Lack of direction and cohesiveness in the office. Lack of team environment. Training could be better and take time on issues that come up. More of a put out the fire now and we will explain later...if there is time later.

    Advice to Management

Build a strong culture where people enjoy spending time together.
