    Pros

    Very nice products and a put together uniform

    Cons

    You do not get gratis and the products are so expensive but they want you to wear them but they do not pay you well enough. It's hard when you work part time and you can't get the products. Every other counter alllll employees get gratis.

    Advice to Management

    Give employees products to use to be better brand embassadors. It's hard to sell when you are not wearing it

    great people great products great heritage

    management gets worse by the day ran a great company in to the ground not sure they can make it back

    Advice to Management

    hire and keep people that know what they are doing-not your friends and people with degrees that don't matter. don't layoff people the week before bonus payout-they earned their bonus and deserve it-bad enough you lay them off-stop being SLEEZY and not paying out bonuses due to your mismanagement while you walk away with millions

    Pros

    Compensation was fair considering, but bonuses were quickly cut.

    Cons

    No clear process, procedures or direction. Constantly chasing the elusive quarter end number.

    Good team dynamic within all departments, company lunch activities, free samples once in a while

    Cons

    I'm disappointed in the company for allowing unprofessional behavior to be tolerated in ecomm dept (i.e. yelling, screaming, bullying on a ridiculous/crazy level especially by the head of the department who has years of experience). Shame on Elizabeth Arden for allowing this negative & unprofessional treatment. I can also hear similar yelling in another department once in a while.

    Pros

    The rate of pay for full time employees is competitive. Company lets you take liberty in re-arranging store, decorating for holidays ETC. Managers get accrued time for any OT they put in.

    Cons

    Micromanaging from afar, constant video surveillance from corporate, insane daily goals, back and forth answers with higher-ups, poorly written instructions for the stores to operate on, no plan-o-grams to keep the stores looking fresh and intriguing to customers. Same promotional sales constantly. Not enough store visits from higher-ups, feels like there is no connection with them.

    Advice to Management

    Expanding corporate to not have so little people to reach out to would be beneficial. Having more relate able higher-ups who come to visit with more of a caring demeanor towards their employees and not just a lust for bottom line sales. RESPECT. Don't treat the people running your company so poorly.

    Pros

    Flexible work schedule and early Fridays all year long.

    Cons

    Acquired by Revlon, don't know how it is going to shake out at this point.

    Advice to Management

    Too late! Revlon will soon be driving!

    Bad benefits. Low pay. No breaks. Bad management. Condescending. Corporate doesn't take blame for anything and blames staff. Terrible booking system all the clients hate it.

    Advice to Management

    Appreciate your employees And don't give attitude. They will go above and beyond but you continue to belittle us.

    Good with sick days and time off

    Cons

    Terrible training/no real formal training. Several of the Managers are terrible and don't know the first thing about managing. Not willing to work with you if a mistake is made. Sorry, I never try to burn bridges with any company, but this is definitely the most disorganized place I've ever worked for.... If you are a hard worker and get along with everyone, you are still not
    recognized. Please don't waste your valuable time.

    Please learn how to give constructive criticism and never give up on your employees. Know how to manage.

    I have been working at Elizabeth Arden full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Gets to have job title of counter manager to put on resume for new job. Good starter job to break into the retail cosmetics world.

    Cons

    HORRIBLE line to work for. This line is dying and I honestly think in 5 years it won't be at most department stores. Can't make any money in commission. Constantly have to try to get try to recruit new customers which does nothing. The little business the counter gets is all blamed on you.

    Advice to Management

    Stop blaming the counter manager for little business and blame the line!!

    Nice locale, some pleasant staff

    Cons

    Set up to fail in terms of training, or lack there of. Rude customers, no support from management.

    Advice to Management

    Much better training format. Can not emphasize that enough. Low pay, especially for amount of responsibilities demanded.
