    Pros

The products are amazing, and the company is sound! I'm in love with Prevage. I really believe in it. And Double Density Mascara is the best ever made.

    Cons

The pay could be better, and advancement isn't always possible, but then again, no one ever really leaves the company once they start working for Arden.

    Advice to Management

Honestly, freelance artists aren't paid the same rate as other companies. Arden offers about 5 to 7 dollars less than other companies to artists. And I personally believe that if Arden would expand the freelance budget, it would create more excitement and interest in the brand. Everyone knows the skincares is second to none, but not as many see Arden as an artistry line, and that needs to change. Besides, the artists always sell the skincare anyway. :)

    Pros

Good benefits and a lot of traveling. Company very reasonable on amount of money you can spend while traveling compared to other big corporations that book you on cheap hotels and make you flight on your own time.

    Cons

Nothing is perfect. You have to wait a year for your stock to become vested.

    Very friendly employees all around.

Manager is very helpful with reviews.

Raises happen every year unless the company is doing terrible.

Stamford office is amazing with a very bright environment

    Cons

No sense of company culture (happy hours or department dinners)

I have been working at Elizabeth Arden full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

great job, great people to work with

    Cons

company is not stable now, they might possibly be sold

    Advice to Management

corporate needs to spend more time in the field and change how they approach in store visits. There is a disconnect as to what is going on in the stores and what corporate perceives as to what the real marketing needs to be and what the needs of the consultants are. They are disconnected from what marketing really needs to be outside of NYC

I worked at Elizabeth Arden part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Top of the line facilities
    Consistent new and repeat customers
    Great locations
    Manger was wonderful

    Cons

    Lack of flexibility some times
Think that all therapists will perform exactly the same with a client when every therapist is different. The idea is good in theory but unrealistic.

    Advice to Management

Continue to take care of your employees. Happy employees make clients happy.

    Pros

    Opportunity to learn
"Summer" hours on Fridays ALL YEAR LONG!
Mystery boxes of product every Christmas
4 day weekends for Memorial Day and Labor Day
Nice new office, everything is really clean

    Cons

Medical benefits are not that great
The real upper management, especially the CFO, are sneaky and untrustworthy. They smile in your face while they whip the carpet out from under your feet
    The office is cold
They are not very good at managing their resources although they are getting better
They've been sold and everybody is anxious
It can be pretty awful in the office when the fragrance team is testing a really noxious brand.

    Advice to Management

Communicate and be transparent. Stop treating your employees like commodities and remember they are people.
