    Pros

The co-op relationship was great because of the employees, and the product.

    Cons

Poor management. VERY poor communication and goal execution strategy.

    Advice to Management

    Washington has HUGE growth potential.

I have been working at Elizabeth Arden part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Very good skin care products.

    Cons

No advertising to speak of. They are introducing their "new" Visable Difference" line (a repackageing of old product lines) and are actually proud that their ads will be on Facebook & Twitter. (!!!!!) No TV, no radio, no fashion mags, etc. The BAs must STILL call everyone & their sister on the phone over & over for the GWP. (the GWP is especially awful for Fall) Wake up! No one is at home; they're out working, never call you back and do not want to be disturbed on the weekends and evenings!! An e-mail campaign would make more sense in 2012. These people apparently think it's still the 1950s and June Cleaver is hoping her dial landline phone will ring with all the news from her beauty consultant down at the local department store about the new colors. (sarcasm intended)
Note: Clinique did a monsterously successful TV ad with a spotted egg. We have people ALL THE TIME coming in wanting "that stuff in the egg commercial". WAKE UP Arden!

    Advice to Management

Arden MNGMT: WAKE UP and smell the 21st century world of advertising!
Store MNGMT: Try being upbeat instead of being constantly critical and unprofessional in every way.

I worked at Elizabeth Arden part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Deeply discounted services
    discounts on products
    flexible schedule
    Intensive training

    Cons

    management is unreliable
    clear company favoritism
Schedule sometimes came out just a couple of days before the week was set to start
Moving up in the company has nothing to do with Talent but everything to do with who you know, they would rather hire their friends rather than promote from within

    Advice to Management

My advice to management is, if you will be asking your team to do more work outside of their job duties, you need to pay them.

I have been working at Elizabeth Arden part-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

I have a great experience working with Elizabeth Arden because , they really have a good professional people heading the company

    Cons

For some reason I haven't get any raise for the last four years

    Advice to Management

We need more tools and gift with purchases, to achieve the goals

    Pros

Day goes by fast, with lots of work not enough people

    Cons

10-14 hour days, no time for home life. Lack of appreciation for hard work, expect more work. Bullies in senior level mgmt. I've heard one senior leader tell an employee that he should be working as a sheep herder. Also heard senior leader tell a working mother to find another way for her children to be picked up at 6:30 pm daycare.

    Advice to Management

    Respect!

I have been working at Elizabeth Arden full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    flexible work environment, great products

    Cons

company is very much like a click, either you are in or out

    Advice to Management

Management really should look at individual performance, not keep employees who they like just because they are in the click. Several hard working people displaced due to not being in the right group, we are not in High School

    Pros

interview done in a neutral area

    Cons

    Advice to Management

mentor your employees rather than leave then to fail.

I have been working at Elizabeth Arden full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Seeing people that I've worked with for years go from temporary jobs to permanent jobs.

    Cons

Seeing people who just became permanent get jobs over people who have been there longer & some who where already doing those higher paying jobs.

    Advice to Management

Won't do any good. From what I've noticed, if it wasn't "their idea" it's not gonna happen. Now you might see shades of what you said years later. All you can do is just think to yourself, wow now you do that.

    Pros

A place to go to get some experience.

    Cons

Poor management of people and projects. They try to do too much with too little so expect long hours in a noisy office.

    Advice to Management

Start placing the customer and products first, not the dollar.

    Pros

Hours and holiday schedule are perks.

    Cons

Toxic atmosphere. Open office environment. No forward thinking, just reacting to achieving sales goals for current period with no consideration to the effect on future sales.

    Advice to Management

Be in touch more with the employees who make the company tick, and more than a random town hall meeting. Plan for the future and stick to the plan - don't rearrange launches on items to get the bump in sales now.
