I have been working at Elizabeth Arden full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Modern tooling: workforce amiable, but their A to Z enterprise process, which include proper training and orientation is forty years past.

    Cons

" Egos, and Department management has rather inflated ones. Front line supervisors are good.
" Tooling is modern, product is somewhat in demand, Directors are full of themselves.
    * But EA is a source for income and most companies have their challenges.

    Advice to Management

Take your eyes off your offices, dream of what can be. A streamlined, "Lean" pick and output.

I worked at Elizabeth Arden full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very fun environment to work in, very stylish and hip. Compensation is on the lower end for entry level jobs but an opportunity for upward mobility.

    Cons

Management is uninvolved with the day-to-day operations, the company discriminates based on ethnicity. Need to take on a lot of responsibility and pick up the slack from other employees, very often in higher positions.

    Advice to Management

    Need to redefine the organization

I have been working at Elizabeth Arden full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Pretty reasonable work/life balance during the good/quiet times, compensation has always felt fair. Coworkers are generally good folks.

    Cons

Declining numbers, lack of profitability and a stagnating culture are all big problems. Project work and peak seasons can get crazy. Incredible stress and very long hours with little understanding/awareness from management of the long term consequences on morale.

    Advice to Management

Management must strive to identify the people, products, sites, processes, and systems that are beneficial to the company and helpful in the work environment - and then begin to dramatically change or jettison those that aren't. A top down change is in order.
