      Cons

Definitely a corporate salon setting if you want something family owned and close knit company this isn't it. I enjoyed the corporate setting with structure so depends who you are.

I have been working at Elizabeth Grady full-time for more than 5 years

        Pros

Pretty steady clientele, they give you $100 every other month worth of free products of your choice.

        Cons

They don’t care about their employees, you don’t ever feel appreciated. You’re treated like you are very replaceable and are not ever given bonuses or any form of positive praise. The actual corporate part of this business is what makes most people quit/speak badly of their time working there.

        Advice to Management

They need to make the staff feel more appreciated and less like factory workers. The corporate staff doesn’t work in the salons from day to day and doesn’t understand what unrealistic expectations they have of us. After being there for over five years I’m realizing it does not matter how long you have worked there or how much money you have made them, you’re never good enough and they will never appreciate you.

I worked at Elizabeth Grady full-time for more than 8 years

        Pros

Working for Elizabeth Grady gave me a lot of opportunities to grow professionally. Throughout my 8+ years employed with them, I learned a lot of skills to help me succeed professionally. Some specific perks include: - continuing education training on new protocols, procedures and techniques - gratis by monthly (free money towards products)

        Cons

The company does not appear to care about their employees. As an employee, you feel as though you are considered to be easily replaceable. In addition, they have also begun running constant sales and promotions which cut into the pay of the aestheticians and massage therapists. They seldom give raises, and if they do it further complicates their already confusing commission structure. As result, the corporate culture...

        Advice to Management

Work on changing your negative culture. Encourage communication, providing access to HR professionals, for staff. Recognize that clients build relationships with employees, not the brand. To deal with the increasingly competitive industry market - increase your brand distribution. If staff believe in your company and are proud (feeling valued) working for you - there is not better marketing.

I worked at Elizabeth Grady part-time for more than a year

            Pros

Pretty easy, free gratis every other month in any EG product of your choice. Monthly meetings were valuable for team building and improving sales. Management was great!

            Cons

            - Computer software was outdated - Low pay - No room for advancement unless you are in school for esthetics/nails/massage therapy and are looking to learn more about operations before taking on a clientele. Each salon seems to only have one manager and two front desk staff.

            Advice to Management

Keep up the strong structure EG has built up over the years.

I worked at Elizabeth Grady part-time

            Pros

The people are great to work with. They offer the basics as far as services, but that can be good. The more you get certified in, the more services you can offer. They work with you in creating a schedule that fits your lifestyle. They care about their clients.

            Cons

The pay is very poor for estheticians. The commission structure is very confusing and often times your not sure what you are making.

            Advice to Management

Make a commission structure that is closer to the industry standards and they will hold onto people longer. They offer their massage therapists a 50/50 split, this should be the same offering for all service employees.
