I worked at Elliot Hospital full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Great staff to work with.

    Cons

HR hard to work with. They do not answer their phone nor do they return calls.

    Advice to Management

A lot of cultural things to over come. Very political on how decisions are made. It is about who likes you and nothing to do with ability

I have been working at Elliot Hospital full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Great place to work! Thriving healthcare system that is devoted to patient care and a high level of positive patient experience. This type of just culture is important to not only employees but also patients.

    Cons

None that I can truly think of. Despite the decline in benefits that others have experienced, Elliot continues to work hard to keep employee premiums low while maintaining a high level of benefits coverage.

    Advice to Management

I can't think of anything at the moment. But the organization has been challenged over the last many months to find a CEO. Once that happens, the other key C-suite management folks will follow.

I worked at Elliot Hospital (Less than a year)

    Pros

Super clean, very professional, very competent workers.

    Cons

Not the nicest people to patients and/or coworkers. Every man for themselves.

I have been working at Elliot Hospital full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great coworkers who work together as a team, an environment that does not tolerate the "nurses eat their young" mentality. Willing to hire and train new grads, management that wants you to advance and takes your goals into consideration

    Cons

Not nearly enough pay for the amount of work, rarely allows any OT or offers COT. Constantly being expected to take on more responsibilities+ nit picking from management

    Advice to Management

If you want to retain your staff, pay them what they deserve! You lose money training tons of new grads that leave within a year and a half, but It's hard to stay here knowing 30 mins away in Massachusetts you could be making $10+ more per hour

I have been working at Elliot Hospital full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

One of your nurses named Delia changed my entire perspective of what quality of care really is. She went out of her way to see all of her patients were not only comfortable and well cared for but genuinely made me and others enjoy my stay here at the Eliot.

    Cons

Some of the other nurses would clearly be gossiping about patients in the hallway and it was Loud enough to hear.

    Advice to Management

Better communicate with their nursing rotations about going above and beyond to make patients comfortable.
