    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Elon University full-time

    Pros

Avoid!! Not a place that cares about students or faculty.

    Cons

Over the top administrative bureaucracy with a brochure attitude of doing what it takes to get attention, rather than creating a quality teaching/learning environment. Faculty concerns tend to be bottom rung priority with administrators making all decisions in their own interest.

Advertises a commitment to diversity as top priority, but doesn't seem to have a clue how to achieve it.

    Advice to Management

Lose the attitude and start having a concern about those who do the real work.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Elon University part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very engaged environment with positive co-workers and a "modern" feel. Fun atmosphere, and a strong commitment to diversity.

    Cons

Sometimes the need to be diverse and inclusive makes you wonder if you are stepping on toes with every move you make. Quite a few of the students also have entitled attitudes towards everyone.

    Advice to Management

Continue to focus on the strengths of the University. Making students worldly is an incredible feat to achieve, but it is the most powerful way to change the norm.
