    Colleagues. facilities, small class size

    Cons

    Low pay, entitled student body, more interested in marketing than intellectual life

    Advice to Management

    Stop catering to students and encourage intellectual culture. Empower faculty to lead with ideas

    Pros

    Great sense of community and great perks when it comes to employee appreciation. Students are really pleasant to work with.

    Cons

    Very antiquated management styles and lack of support for employee development. Promotions seem biased and unfair.

    Advice to Management

    Elevate your recognition of talent. You can find both loyalty and talent in many employees.

    Great benefits, friendly environment, beautiful campus

    Cons

    There is an "in crowd" for promotion, level of degree and from where matters

    Advice to Management

    Even in poor economic times there are little things that could boost morale and promote professional development - like alternative schedules, working from home, 4 day work week, 20% time to develop new skills and ideas

    Expectation of you get involved with everything and be apart of everything
    student coordinators are coddled and can't be disciplined

    A lot of top down decisions

    I worked at Elon University as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Beautiful surroundings, strong sense of community, commitment to improving university across many measurements, supportive and interesting faculty colleagues

    Cons

    Student body has been told they must get top grades, and some attempt do so even without putting in the work. In other words, they wanted to be told by the instructor exactly how to do the homework to "succeed" at it.

    Pay, vacation time, incompetent people left over from last administration.

    Change the incentive plans.
