I have been working at Elwood Staffing full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good pay basically goes off the custoper. Any thing the customer approves you are intilted to. Like the pay card and luke how the pay is never late or delayed even get it early if holiday is after or on Friday. If you received a bonus on Wednesday or Thursday the pay roll is GREAT at getting it to you that payday.

    Cons

I was never told about pto vacation pay or any type of benefits ive been an employee for like 4 almost 5 years

    Advice to Management

Let the employees know what type of benefits you offer from the start that way if and when a emergency accord you have a opportunity to let H.R. know and not miss out on any work

I worked at Elwood Staffing full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Corporate is helpful, available when needed

    Cons

lack of support from local team, misunderstanding of competitive markets, outdated processes, slow response time to clients, inexperienced recruiters, inability to support sales and new business

    Advice to Management

Listen to your sales team, they are your eyes and ears of how the market responds to you. If no one has heard of you or there's not much material they have on you, you're not doing what's necessary to stay competitive. I had clients interested but they lost patience with a team that lacks initiative and doesn't value new opportunities. Very imperative if you're thirsty for business! Review your local support team, they need to be flexible and understand change is necessary to succeed!

    Pros

They offer a variety of jobs and do well in recruiting new associates.

    Cons

They always take the side of the client and don't listen to the associates side of the story. They have not recovered my items from my last assignment and it has been 5 working days.

    Advice to Management

Return your voicemails and/ or texts.

I have been working at Elwood Staffing full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Very good temporary agency that takes you from filling out a job application to getting you working in less than a week. They offered me a "foot" in the door for a really good factory job that hires temps for a 60 or 90 day probationary period and then you get hired on making the money you couldn't make as a temp

    Cons

Gotta put up with low pay and have perfect attendance for the first 90 days to get hired on full time on the 91st day. A long stretch to make it especially if you have a commute

    Advice to Management

It's possible you may have to work a one or two day assignment if nothing is available at the time you apply. Doesn't give someone an easy feeling knowing a job isn't gonna give you an opportunity to show you worth.

The team I work with is hard-working, and they want to do their best every day.

    Cons

I am not seeing a lot of interest in helping me advance my career.

    Pros

Great office environment and company culture.

    Cons

No serious concerns. Would have been nice to have a better on-call system or be paid for working during off hours.

    Advice to Management

Rethink commission structure and don’t penalize recruiters bonuses for workers comp or unemployment claims

    Pros

    Entry level training is provided.
    Senior levels are top knotch.

    Cons

For seasoned mid or above level experienced, stay away. They don’t want your talent. Micro-management to the extreme. For a company that pitches to their clients the cost of on boarding is how they are the experts, they themselves have a huge turnover and spend thousands and thousands of dollars because of their mentality. People leave not because of the job, they leave due to the poor management or should I say “Boss”.
Beware of the sugar coating, the

    Advice to Management

Secret shop your satellite offices. Asking your employees to take a survey for how “you” are doing is futile. Who in their right mind is going to tell you the truth, you want “yes men” and insult your employees with these surveys. If you need to improve, develop a true measuring tool.
