I have been working at Embraer full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great Benefits, Awesome people at the floor level. reasonable pay, opportunities to learn and expand for those that want it. Management is constantly trying to improve things as they go....I believe they are learning too.

    Cons

Management could use more organization and planning ahead. communication needs BIG improvements. This company at this location has the potential to be GREAT, once management gets things figured out. They are young and are working on getting things together.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your people on the floor, take their words to heart. we want the same thing you guys do. success. communicate more and earlier regarding major change.

    Pros

Young company, room for growth and development.

    Cons

Bad distribution of work, many people underemployed, and others overworked. Mostly due to relations with Brazil

    Advice to Management

Set up a floating team that helps out where needed.

I have been working at Embraer full-time

    Pros

They offer great benefits that start day one no matter what your position is, and they do a lot of promoting internally so there's always opportunity for advancement.

    Cons

The biggest issue is the same as many other big companies: communication. If changes are to be made, there is usually some sort of misinformation due to ineffective communication.

    Advice to Management

If changes are going to be made, give out definitive notice to everyone to avoid misinformation from the rumor mill.

I worked at Embraer full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    • Amazing product, highly-rated industry leader
    • Worked around luxury jets all day, definitely not a bad thing.
    • Good place to learn about aviation business and aerospace tech if you are new to the industry.
    • Nice coworkers, a few exceptional personality conflicts but overall great.
    • Both my immediate manager and department boss were great people to work with during their tenure

    Cons

    • Some resistance against cloud and contemporary tech for corporate communications. E-mail software and file-sharing systems were over 20 years old in design.
    • Underpaid, entry-level contract workers were a band-aid that couldn't fill the void.
    • Needed more talent and staff to support our department
    • Lack of standard work processes and work tracking systems
    • Top-down authoritarian management style

    Advice to Management

When this company finally decides to get out of it's own way, they will be a bigger aircraft brand than ever. The aircraft they make are great, but the corporate culture needs some evolution.

  10. "Great Benefits, Not Enough Integration or Innovation"

    StarStarStarStarStar

Great people for the most part. Good benefits. Can get some good experience and exposure to a lot of things if you want it.

    Cons

Moves slow, not moder neough for some. Needs more innovation, integration.
