    Negative Outlook
    Approves of CEO

I worked at Emergent Systems full-time

    Pros

    Small company dynamics
Great work/life balance - Work whatever hours you want

    Cons

    So many to list
    1. Horrible benefits. No 401k match, 5 days of vacation, expensive health plan, and no vision coverage.
    2. Incredibly low pay. Raises are extremely rare.
    3. This company is stagnant because they hire individuals that do not strive for better. Live and die in the same city, same job mentality. Status quo mentality.
    4. The company tries to act like a large enterprise when in reality is a ma and pa shop.

    Advice to Management

If you want to become an innovative organization, you need to build the culture. It must start from within. Simply stating that you are an innovative tech company does nothing.

Invest 100% in all top priority initiatives. If you decide that a certain initiative is extremely important, invest all your resources to it. Do not look for cheaper alternatives or decide that you should only dedicate 75% of the budget.

    Develop an actual training program.

I have been working at Emergent Systems full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There is a continuous learning opportunity. Emergent provides service to many large well-known companies. The growth outlook for the next ten years is very high. All employees are given an opportunity to make a big difference, since it is such a small company.

    Cons

It is a small company with a need for organizational improvement. There is not necessarily a formal structure for training.

    Pros

good working environment, chance to learn new stuff as new tools are encouraged to be incorporated into the application, new employees are trained well, location is good, management is good.

    Cons

pay is low, no hikes have been given since 2 yrs, have to blame the recession more than the management for no hikes. but initial pay was low too.

    Advice to Management

hike salaries. qualified and skilled employees need to be rewarded well. our counterparts at other places earn more than us comparatively.
