I have been working at Emerson full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Independence and longevity as long as you don't bring up wanting to change anything; upper management have pets and won't tolerate disparaging remarks, no real independent though since the Truman administration is my guess.

    Cons

Low pay, 2 weeks of vacation until you reach year 5 but no vacation for a year, no options for advancement unless you want to move to Pittsburgh (corporate office), no real employee development unless you're an engineer, months delayed and pitiful pay increases

    Advice to Management

Perhaps stop giving bonuses and pay increases to management and give it instead to the people who actually do the work.
