I have been working at Emida Corporation full-time

    Pros

People is very friendly and they work very hard. Everybody is always trying to give their best every single day.

    Cons

They don't match 401k, some groups within the company are asked to work long hours very frequently without a monetary incentive.

    Advice to Management

Increase transparency, provide more frequent all-hands meetings, hire more people where is needed.

    Pros

Small company, tight-knit team with a meaningful mission to support provisioning of prepaid wireless communications services in developing countries.
An informal work environment with good work-life balance.

    Cons

Low to no growth with too much reliance on a small number of customers means current revenue is at risk.
Current investors seem to have little or no desire to increase investment to support growth initiatives.

    Advice to Management

Take your losses now and sell the company to the employees giving them a major stake in its ongoing management and future success or failure.

I worked at Emida Corporation as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

The people are so wonderful to work with, and to be around
A small company means that you really get to know the upper management
They have a casual dress code
Employees are professional, and easy-going (sense of camaraderie)
Definite opportunity for travel, since they are an international company

    Cons

You must have a strong interest in telecommunications
Not the most amazing job security for those low on the totem pole
Very much the average office job- prepare to be on the phone a lot

    Pros

People are mostly very friendly and eager to work as a team. Management makes every employee feel appreciated. Emida is a company that is on its way up and makes everyone feel proud to work there. When mistakes are made, there is very little CYA and blaming - they just try to sold the problem and do what they can to ensure that it doesn't happen again.

    Cons

They are a small company with limited resources. Salaries are generally on the low side and benefits are just okay. No matching 401K.

    Advice to Management

Continue to make employees feel valued. We appreciate the work-life balance and the fact that you treat us all as individuals.
