I worked at Emirates full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Lifestyle is either love it or hate it - lots of free time, opportunities for travel, sunshine! 80-100 hours a month of official work but lots of long nights, long days and expect some unpaid time before and after flights (2-4 hours per flight). Immediately start on international flights to everywhere in the world.

    Cons

You are just a number, a cog in the wheel. That can be great for just gliding by but the company culture is very geared towards stepping on other people to make yourself look good.

I worked at Emirates for more than 4 years

    Pros

Travel, live in dubai, make so many friends and experience an amazing life. well looked after, free accomodation and medical. Good wage and yearly bonus.

    Cons

Away from home. Expensive strict country and airline so most wages are spent and never saved but some manage it. Just a number in the end not a name.

I worked at Emirates full-time for more than 4 years

    Pros

Generous travel benefits Large route network (lots of destinations to travel to) Incredibly multicultural work enviornment Everything from accomodation, transportation to initial household items provided by company

    Cons

Reporting culture - mistrust amongst colleagues Ran like an institution - sense that you're 'just a number' Exhausting and demanding work hours Misplaced leadership Isn't the luxury of being able to voice concerns in work place etc, as there is in other countries which provide unions and safe havens for employees to voice issues

    I worked at Emirates full-time

    Pros

Amazing training, amazing benefits: free accomodation included utilities, free gym and best pools, cheap tickets, travel many destinations around the world, free medical clininc for all employees

    Cons

It's a great experience only for few years not a job you can do for all your life (too tiring, fatigue on the long term, limited time to settle a family if you think of having children). You are just a number and you need tp follow all the procedures, no exceptions, which is fair enough for the experience they give you, but not if you think of this as the job of your life

    I worked at Emirates

    Pros

It was a great experience travelling the world

    Cons

Unfortunately you are just a number to management and no good work is ever rewarded. Even with all the staff tickets and flights its impossible to even get on a flight no priority is given to staff EVER.

I have been working at Emirates

    Pros

Good travel opportunities Tax free salary Accommodation paid for

    Cons

You are just a number in a big company - know one will ever know your name and the only time you meet your manager is when you have done something wrong Sick days (even in this industry where illness is common when constantly travelling) are frowned upon Too many flying hours per month and not enough time on layovers (for example 14 h flight to the us only 24h layover)
