I have been working at Emmis Communications full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

So far my check has cleared every two weeks.

    Cons

local sales management is absolutely awful. Operates from a power position. No connection to individuals. No sales training. Senior managers are disconnected and act like it's 25 years ago.

    Advice to Management

Lot's of discussion in the industry and market about how long Emmis can stay in business.

    Pros

Every day was different. Fun co-workers.

    Cons

Only managers and sales make any money. Hard work and dedication is not rewarded. Despite their company rhetoric, they do not value staff. Their stock value is a reflection of the leadership of the company.

    Pros

Fun company culture in departments outside of WIBC
    Solid values and reputation

    Cons

    WIBC:
Inept management (micromanagement w/o individual willingness to contribute to the success of the team)
    Overworked and underpaid
    Erratic hours
Frequently asked to work on weekends, holidays

    Advice to Management

Meet the same expectations you set for WIBC employees. Show appreciation for the hard work performed by many members of the team.
