Was provided autonomy from parent company in producing a sister publication for Los Angeles magazine. Resources and funding was more than adequate and the staff was given the best of a start-up within a corporate entity.
Cons
Company was a bit slow to evolve with the digital migration of publishing and eventually hurt the new magazine in growing its business. Because its radio division was also vulnerable, the publishing division was under quite a bit of scrutiny with its revenue.

Valuable connections in the print industry. Good look at collaboration between art, marketing, and editorial departments. Relaxed, sometimes hectic, and fun work environment.
