I have been working at Emory University full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Emory is on par with other top-tier research universities in pay and care for graduate students. We teach the low-level classes in exchange for our stipend.

    Cons

Trying to survive financially and mentally while working toward a PhD is a miracle anywhere, including Emory.

I worked at Emory University full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great - the Faculty and the fantastic learning environment!!

    Cons

The weak leadership in the fundraising department, and the lack of diversity.

    Advice to Management

The "old guard" really needs to go at Emory, and the Board of Trustees need to hire some diverse development and marketing staff to make Emory great.

    Pros

Flexible schedule, friendly environment. The managers are kind and understanding, but they will push you to do your best. Positive environment.

    Cons

Not a place for introverts, you talk constantly while working. This shouldn't be especially surprising though, since you job is literally to make phone calls.
