I have been working at Empire Airlines full-time

    Pros

Good company to work for. Low stress environment.

    Cons

Shifts are four 10 hour days, so you may not get a regular Monday through Friday schedule if that's what you are looking for.

I worked at Empire Airlines full-time

    Pros

Fly from home base, easy work.

    Cons

Understaffed. Be ready to fly 5 days a week and move around the system as they fill in pilot spots

  3. "Poor management"

    Pros

Day to day is the same and usually know what to expect.

    Cons

The management is horrible. Lots of feel good titles at corporate and way entirely to many management positions.

    Advice to Management

Value those who actually make the company go round and the ones who make it possible for you to actually have the position you have !!!

I worked at Empire Airlines full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Could not find one good reason...

    Cons

HR is horrible at there job... there is no communication among anyone in management.
Pay for Ohana is not good and pay for the feeder side is even worse.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your flight crews and other employees about your lack of communication and respect you offer everyone. Pay is poor for what they want out of an employee and move to Hawaii.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Empire Airlines full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

What they told me to get me hired

    Cons

MRO hasn't made money since its inception, the current GM hasn't a clue and no respect from his staff. Unmanned division doesn't make money and unfortunately won't with the changes to regs. Ohana is an embarrassment and HA is going to take their mtnc elsewhere. The only thing sustaining us is out main customer and that is due to the pilot shortage. Thanks FEX for the payment model you use, if it changes, the Empire doors will close. Poor business decisions by COO with the blessing of the CEO and the other directors are hanging on to retirement and it shows. Empire loves to brag about out long term employees, but most of them, even though they are awesome, have no where to go. Need new HR Dept too. Unapproachable.

    Advice to Management

Advice is offered and they don't listen. COO will just bully and belittle until we stop offering. He is not Empire people, never has been. Excels at self promotion.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at Empire Airlines full-time

    Pros

They are intentional about developing you as an individual. If you work hard, honestly, and smart they will give you many opportunities.

    Cons

The days can feel long, and if your project is behind expect to stay longer to get it done. But that's not really a con, its a reality of working. Own your project and this will not feel like a negative.

    Advice to Management

Continue to be constructive toward your people. Build them up and they will build you up. Know who is performing and earning you money and empower them.

    Pros

    -flight benefits
    -home every night
    -see familiar passengers
    -coworkers are amazing
-great experience as a first time flight attendant, not recommended for a long term goal

    Cons

    -low pay
    -delays
    -long work days
-when under staffed you work a lot until you are burnt out
    -hardly ever hire
    -poor communication with management
-you get asked for suggestions, give suggestions and see no action and you get additude back from management
    -be careful
-dispatch could be nicer and more sincere
-when calling out of work, you have to explain to them why are you sick? What kind of sickness? Why can't you work? Etc.
    -No Union

    Advice to Management

They should know enough by now what they need to work on.
