I worked at Empirix full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

The people at Empirix are amazing. You will never get bored by working with the great team. If you work on the technology, this is the right place. You will have plenty of chance to learn the new technology and gain more skills. The company is also moving towards the right direction by ready for NFV, 5g and IoT.

    Cons

Not really a con but supporting customer issues can be stressful

    Advice to Management

Absolutely focus on the value add

I have been working at Empirix full-time

    Pros

It’s a job. If you’re desperate, go for it.

    Cons

Toxic culture, bullying management, no upward mobility, total lack of transparency, disconnected leadership, and there’s no cash so you can’t even count on a mediocre severance when you’re shown the door because sales underperforms.

    Advice to Management

    No use

    I worked at Empirix full-time

    Pros

Good benefits. Nice people to work with. Nice office.

    Cons

Decision makers are lackadaisical at best. No follow through from management. No clear vision or path forward. Every employee is expected to handle multiple roles, no matter how inexperienced you may be at it all. If you’ve done it once, you are the official expert in the eyes of Empirix. Read the older reviews that give insight into the history of layoffs. They are spot on. When EBITDA falls, jobs are lost no matter how crucial they are to the business. Those job functions will then either fall to the wayside or be absorbed by someone who does something completely different but happens to be a warm body in the office. Communication is severely lacking at all levels. People are treated as disposable.

I worked at Empirix full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Ability to work remotely and not be micromanaged within the PS group. Really good group of people within PS who work hard, even though they are all burnt out.

    Cons

This used to be a decent place to work until it very quickly became 100% sales focused with no other dedication to other groups. Sales would basically sell whatever they could to a customer (whether the product supported it or not) and would force it down the throats of PS to try and implement. Our bonuses relied on revenue earned, but because Sales would sell at such a discount you could go years without hitting your bonus..... Also, the internal support team was and still is a joke. You were better off trying to figure it out on your own in your sandbox, then contacting support who would lead you down a black hole.

    Advice to Management

Focus on the core of your product and only sell what you can implement! Stop treating Sales like the only important people in the company. You have some hard working people in PS and other groups who are growing tired of the never ending Sales story... Learn your people outside of Sales. I went into the office numerous times as remote employee and upper management treated me every time like it was my first day even though I worked there over 5 years...

    Advice to Management

Quit firing "Laying off" the wrong people. Losing your best Executive Vice President while keeping the most incompetent is not a good move.
