I worked at Employee Navigator full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Most people in the company eat together, it is optional but truly a lot of fun. It fosters a deep connection
with your colleagues. The CEO, George, is an all around great guy that comes across as a straight shooter. He keeps
a lot of traditionally secret information about the company pretty open for anybody to see, which I think
aids morale and makes it easy to trust him.

As an engineer I had a great experience at Employee Navigator. There is a great atmosphere and the head of
development has a penchant for mentoring so there is a lot of opportunity to learn.

There is very little process, which means very few meetings and loose (close to none) adherence to best practices.

Few meetings is good because it results in less interruptions.
Loose adherence to best practices allows for creative problem solving.

    Cons

There is very little process, which means very few meetings and loose (close to none) adherence to best practices.

Few meetings is bad because it means that even though people are sitting around the same office, they are poorly
    communicated.
Loose adherence to best practices allows some Jurassic software practices to prevail over technological advances.

    Advice to Management

Adopt a tried and true software development framework for working on complex projects. If a requirement is being created, updated or removed; then everybody involved should be present.

I have been working at Employee Navigator full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Employee Navigator is truly a unique and wonderful place to work! This is a company that seeks out thought leading, energetic individuals willing to work hard to get the job done. Executive management truly cares about the welfare of the employees. Family is always first, and a job well done is generously rewarded. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to be part of an industry changing SAAS provider!

    Cons

The company is growing rapidly, and sometimes that means going the extra mile. I have stayed late many nights when things are really busy. If you are looking for a 9-5 job with an hour for lunch this may not be the place for you.

    Pros

Friendly, open work environment. Amiable staff & company. The staff is very driven and focused, but also generous and family orientated. Everyone is serious about their work, however the office culture is also amazing, friendly and fun. The work they are doing is challenging as well as exciting and they treat their employees well.

    Cons

none unless you don't like soda or sweets.

    Pros

Great place to get your foot in the door and learn about a growing industry. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and willing to help whenever needed. Online benefit administration is growing quickly, and it's really exciting seeing where the company is headed. Everyone here is dedicated to learning the industry, making our product better, and listening to our clients and what they need to make their lives easier.

Outside of the office, the staff enjoys getting together after work to play on our company kickball team!

    Cons

With a growing industry comes a lot of change - if you can't adapt quickly, it can be difficult to keep up.

    Pros

If you're interested in working at a small but rapidly growing software business that is rethinking a couple different industries this is the place. The team gets along really well and is working towards a common set of goals. Management is very transparent and insists that every employee voice their thoughts on what the company should focus on. It's also very rewarding to see how impactful of software is to our partners and clients on a daily basis.

    Cons

Like any rapidly growing company there are growing pains. Processes have to be built and adjusted so it's important to be comfortable with a constantly changing environment. You should also be comfortable with a little bit of ambiguity because a lot of what the attempting to accomplished has never been done before.

    Pros

Once in a life time opportunity. Hardworking but casual working environment. (We get to wear jeans to work everyday!) The office is full of innovative and forward thinkers and you learn something new everyday.

    Cons

We are a fast paced and growing company so you can wear many different hats. Although it can be a lot of work, it is worth every minute to be apart of a product that is growing so rapidly.
