    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

    Good Benefits
Work From Home - don't have to dress up every day

    Cons

Hours are constantly cut to 20 hours a week to give more Overseas agents more hours
Leadership is not on the same page - you can ask three different managers the same question and get three diff answers.
Senior Management does not empathize with the employees - many have taken a huge financial hit and its not really acknowledged and there is no end in site
I don't really hear from my manager unless he/she has a write up to give me - no professional coaching
What they call merit increases are a joke - no more than .20 cents a year.... none for last year - we will see for this year.
Keep hearing about an incentive program... but has not materialized yet
Managers are not trained well - they are thrown in without what they need to survive

    Advice to Management

Your SSM's and Sr. Managers need to have a formal training. They seem to be on all different pages and they change their mind sometimes more than 2 or 3 times a week on certain issues. I know economy is bad... but how long can you justify cutting hours for the stateside agents? People are loosing their homes, cars, etc... and you continue to push more and more of your work overseas... its not a good presidence and more and more customers are not calling anymore because they are getting people that don't speak english... that's what always made Flowers a good company is always getting someone that spoke english... it is not the case... and your calls have probobly deceased over the past 2 years dramatically... not only because of the economy... but Americans are supporting companies that provide american jobs on american soil... not to Guatemala or the Philippians. My own family refuses to use the company because of this... and so do many others... WAKE UP FLOWERS! Give back to your stateside agents and they will be much more loyal.

    Approves of CEO

    Pros

Working with flowers is fun. The customers are generally friendly. Make decent tips during holidays. Corporate management is pretty good.

    Cons

It was difficult being a young manager dealing with older sales associates. The store I worked in was a Franchise. Really long hours during flower holidays

    Advice to Management

Don't overwork your employees so much during holidays, hire temps. Franchise stores and their ownership tend to tarnish the name of your business as they don't always run the stores properly.
