I worked at 24 Hour Fitness full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

If you find the right gym, you can grow your business quickly. They have the systems in place that make your PT business operations easy as well. You are paid a below average wage, but volume makes up for it. Bonus is regularly attainable.

Cons

Must work long hours to succeed. Pushed to extend hours constantly. Unprofessional work environment. Gym facilities, unless you are in a super-sport. There is a high turnover in management.

Advice to Management

Help Membership Department succeed in selling memberships and personal training with bonus incentives to increase volume. Screen personal training candidates more thoroughly and stop making bad hires. Raise the Fitness Floor hours wage by 4 dollars, and we will be twice as likely to be at the gym building up our business.

I worked at 24 Hour Fitness full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

None!!! 24 hr fitness is a joke

    Cons

Upper management is a bunch of liars. No one will give you a honest answer and the reason is they don't know the answer. Working for them your surrounded by a bunch of corperate robots. To much politics. If your willing to brown nose you might do ok.

    Advice to Management

Stop lieing! Learn your job! Know what your talking about before you open your mouth! It's funny your suppose to be in the business to help people and better lives mabey start with your employees. Hands down the worst place you could ever work!!!

I have been working at 24 Hour Fitness part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    -The work environment is great.
-The people are welcoming and personable.
-The job is fairly simple: keep the kids safe, and have fun with them
-The job is not high demand in responsibilities

    Cons

-The pay is really low. Just think, you're watching dozens of kids throughout the day with a lot of risks and liability potential for $7.50/hour, and at the same time there are teenage girls getting paid more like $10/hour for watching 1 or 2 kids at someone's house.
-The training seemed to be minimal (but luckily it doesn't take much to learn this job)
